I don't understand why a non-restockable version of the militia LAVs are used in the LAV starter fit. New players may not know about where to find a regular MLT LAV in the market, or that they even exist, so they might think they have to spec into LAVs just to use a new one after their one and only starter LAV i used up. It will teach them to restock depleted fits. |

If your talking about your impact vehicles they are not given to new players anymore. When a new player starts they are given 10 regular mlt lavs of their respective race. These are 100% restockable. When they removed the impact lav bpos they turned it into a single run bpc which is not available on the market. |

I DO recall CCP stating the the concept of "BPO"s was going to be decisively moved away from. I DON'T recall the reason for their decision, but it meant that ALL valuable assets in a fight (vehicles too) would endure the change.
I can IMAGINE some of the reasoning behind the decision: that Dust is a RISK game, and if you have assets in your pocket that are easily replaced for free, you'll pull them out of your pocket and splurge them indescriminantly at whim. (example, the Murder Taxi). The current "starter fit" that's left in the game is just the way CCP chose to PHASE out this vehicle bpo. Not a perfect way, but doesn't need to be perfect.
This player multiplied 16 times creates a perpetual arena of giggling cursing rioters letting out pent up urges.
Dust wants to generate EVE's environment of players feeling the pressure of HOW MUCH I'M GOING TO RISK LOSING in order to satisfy my desperate urge to win something.
...I still have ONE Baloch. Fitted it with odd modules so I can NEVER accidentally deploy it---like a vintage Shelby Mustang in your garage. |
