A little background: So when I pictured Dust a long time ago (and it doesn't mean it can't still be like this it's up to CCP and the players of course  ) I had this idea of being able to go to the market, or basically acquiring through contraband, sort of prototype weapons.
Now I'm not talking about the prototype weapons present in the game as in a tier level, but rather a sort of type of crazy weapon type.
Ratchet and clank is a good example to what I'm referring. The game has a lot of them :P
Another example that always comes to mind is Unreal Tournament, specially the Bio Rifle:

So I decided to create this thread because I know there's a lot of creative folks out there who might have an interesting type of weapon that just fits right into the game and that CCP could take notes on!
Even if it's not that crazy but interesting, post anyway, CCP could release it as a type of standart race weapon or something.
So I ask you this, what weapons would you like to see present in the game? |

Speaking of old school FPS, I hope we get a true mid ranged shotgun. Something similar to the shotgun in Doom II. |

At this point, I'd settle for an AR with an A-cog or even a reflex. Hell, a zooming sniper rifle.
Dream weapons though? I put up a suggestion thread about over/under modules being attached. I'd love a grenade launcher on my AR, or a flame thrower. Or an LMG. |

If my memory serves me correct CCP did mention that Excillon. They are planning to add that ability to tech 3 type weapons (the ability to add modules and to just generally modify them) though I don't know when it is going to be released |

Basically, I walk around with a giant, red button that says "F U" on it. Whenever pressed, any enemy in front of me explodes. |

Resistance Series: Auger Rifle
It would have to be a short - medium range Amarr weapon that shoots Gamma or X Ray bursts capable of penetrating walls. Designed to ensure that the reclaiming light of the lord found even those cowardly enough to hide.
This weapon would be amazing in DUST.

SMG that, while ADS, allows you to hold the shoot button in order to charge your next shot. Charging doesn't increase damage but instead, allows you to fire more rounds in a shotgun fashion. Full charge fires 1/4 of your total clip in a massive spread of death (would be great when sneaking up on people )

A shotgun that shoots 8 explosive rounds (a heavy version of the mass driver)
Mine layer (basically a gun that deploys proximity mines)

A machine gun that fires forge rounds at the speed of the burst smg...with a jetpack.
On a serious note, I think my perfect gun would be something like a railgun rifle that could be full auto or semi auto, something that you could hold down the trigger on in "oh ****" moments, but would passively charge when you're not firing so the first round is more powerful. Would make sense too because it's always charging, but less charge means less damage. |

An Amarrian Artillery Piece that fires Flayer Rounds, yup small capsules that detonate a metre or so off of the ground and shoot out small nano wires that rip flesh and bone to shreds.
That or MechWarrior style Laser turrets. |

1. EMP Type Shotgun - affects sensors, optics, and suit movement but actual only causes minimal shield damage.
2. I would like a weapon that intially causes little damage per each shot but continually eats at armor or shield+armor until the afflicted merc is repped. This would put great focus on logis as reppers are rarely seen in PC battles. |

Someone suggested grenades with a fairly large AoE that slow the perception of time by greatly reducing aiming and movement speed inside the AoE.
I really like that idea. |

I want my Laser Rifle to be a sharks head with the beams of energy coming out of the eyes. Also I want to Shark's Head to be able to bite as a melee weapon and do mass damage to armor since the Laser is worthless in CQC. |
