With the Ammo Count coming to Vehicles, thought I might offer the idea of Ammo Regeneration, along with an Ammo Regenerator, Ammo Holds and Active Supply Depots.
Every Turret will have a base amount of ammo regeneration alongside how much ammo it can store, along with skills that can help improve the regeneration and ammo capacity.
Let's look at a Large Blaster
Clip Size: 250 Capacity: 750 (Total 1000) Regen: 1/s (1 Per Second)
It has skills that can increase its total capacity (5% per level? so at 25% it can hold 937.5 Ammo) and also a regeneration skill (5% again? Total 25% which makes its total regeneration 1.25 per seconds, so you'd get 5 every 4 seconds, should probably be a bit more, perhaps 10% per level, making it 2 every 3 seconds.)
Maybe Missiles?
Clip Size: 8 (Two Volleys) Capacity 40 (48) regen: 0.2/s (1 per 5 seconds)
Its capacity would be a more rounded number, perhaps 4 per level, it's capacity would have to be increased by a bigger percentage also.
With the Modules, I figured..
Ammo Regenerator High Slot Passive
- Using Nanites, helps the built in system generate more usable ammo.
Ammo Hold Low Slot Passive
- Increases the amount of storable ammo
Active Supply Depot High Slot Active
- Activating this provides higher regeneration for other vehicles, at the cost of your own ammo supply (distributes ammo at 2x the rate of self ammo loss), any vehicle in need of ammo within a certain radius will begin to receive ammo.

Thanks :)
Whilst some of our more vocal comrades don't like the sound of Ammo, many of us see it as a smart move, with additional skills it means those who sink a lot of SP into their Vehicles will be far more effective than those with just a couple of hundred thousand (Like it is currently) and will be worth more because of that.

Are you still going to attack depots? I think they should extend the radius within which you receive ammo only for vehicles to allow easier maneuverability.
:O I don't kill supply depots.. At least that's what I tell my Infantry squad mates.. :D
I think there's going to be a lot of issues with Supply Depots, I don't usually kill them unless they're being very helpful to the reds (One day, it'll teach them to not cooperate with the enemy, I'm sure.) but an extended range might be very useful.

I massive oppose any upgrade to Turrets as they currently are, check out this..
If CCP can do that first, or something along those lines, then sure, but until that the damage needs to stay where it is (I don't need to one shot scouts with a Blaster, or two shot tanks with Rails.)

I like the idea of Regen because it also plays into being a logi tank providing ammo with the Active Supply Depot, you have to burn your ammo to provide others with ammo :D

You're watching the wrong tanks then bud, It takes me 5 shots to kill good tanks (less for idiots), I can fire 12 before overheating. I can assure you that buffing rails would ruin it, right now you have the chance to get to cover. Anyways when fighting tanks it's not always about killing the other tank, it's about pushing them back and making them not bring another in. With finite ammo, if a player wastes his ammo trying to kill me and I keep beating him in skirmishes without destroying him, he might take a smarter route and recall.

It's quite simple, make it so all Vehicles and suits have an ammo count when they change at a Supply Depot or Recall :)
% Based, so if you have 5% ammo on your HMG and you switch to a mass driver, you have 5% ammo in your mass driver and need to wait til it restocks.
If you recall a vehicle and it has 5% ammo, you get 5% ammo when you call it out (Plus the additional ammo from regen of course.)

I fight good, decent and scrub tanks, majority die to me. If you take a few shots then you know what you're doing, and that should be rewarded by you survivng. Also OP Armor Reps :)

Ooh I like this much better than my idea of limiting time before you can call in a vehicle after a recall. However if you switch weapons at a supply depot I think it's fine that you get full ammo again. :/
So is it okay if I have a missile tank, use up the ammo then grab a Blaster Tank? How long will the game remember that my Missile Tank has no ammo? :/

Double standards sir, should apply to all or none at all.

Meh doesn't matter much either way. Since your ammo is replenished at a supply depot anyways, so while you are switching loadouts you'd be gaining more ammo.
It does matter, see switching your suit will replenish your ammo immediately and remove the need to reload. same with the HP that gets insta replenished every time.. That needs to go, seriously, whilst it might not seem worthwhile to you, ******* that keep switching suits in the supply depot have the advantage of not reloading
Not only does this mean I'm dying faster, but now I have to kill the supply depot my blue dots want.
