Title.
Shouldn't they be equipment? And if it's because "they're handheld useful explosive weapons" then why aren't Remote and Proximity explosives used in the Grenade slots?

We were talking in the Tanker Chat (Yeah Tankers talking about Grenades) and how equipment for Grenades would make much more sense, add additional equipment to every suit, which allows more diverse builds such as a Demo Logi, carrying Flux, AV, Remotes and Proxy, or an Assault with two types of grenades, or equipment or a grenade and equipment.
That would make me assault more.

Does it? We were going to ask why not increase every equipment slot by one but remove the Grenade Slot, surely wouldn't this create more different suits? Grenadier Logi with 4 Explosive Slots say wut?

Logistics, seems more like Engineers and Medic rolled into one, and Engineers often seems to be Demolition too.. Demolition involves explosives, grenades are explosives, Logi = Grenadier.

I meant grenadier as something to skill into that would give an explosives bonus. It's be a different class of dropsuits but would be limited by it's use of a sidearm (so no MD spam). Using your idea the logistics role becomes the jack of all trades due its slot loadout. A logistics suit would then be able to run flux, AV, and locus or even just AV, AV, AV and f your precious vehicles up the a.
Now we add some more things such as Grenadier suits, which offer what you've suggested with Suit bonuses, as well as suit debuffs, for example I still believe Logistic Suits should have a weapon damage debuff, so yes their four slots means they could do a lot, but an Assault Suit would be better with weapons, Grenadier Suits would be better with explosives, logi suits would have specializations in them also, with Triage Logistic Suits (Offering bonuses to Nanite Injectors) and Engineer Logistic Suits offering bonuses to Repair Tools :)

I just feel that making grenades equipment really over complicates it though. I mean really what's to stop a logi from just loading up all his equipment slots with AV nades and then just killing every vehicle? And I don't believe debuffing the Logi would help because he'd still be the most flexible suit in every situation.
Why? Because this is taking into consideration that AV Grenades are balanced, and that you'd have to manually switch to each set of AV Grenades. If someone wants to take up all their slots to use AV Grenades instead of a Swarm Launcher? More power to them, but I can assure you they'd do better in an Assault suit with Swarms :P

Grenades in Equipment slots is a terrible idea. If you thought the CalLogiASSault was bad you would absolutely loathe this.
Why would it be bad though? All Logis would have equipment slots, but if suits had proper roll buffs and debuffs then the issues would probably go out the window, sure a Logi could be great at using Grenades, but what if they were more effective in a "Demolition" specialized suit for example.
