That would be either of the big space ship looking things floating in the air during skirmish matches.
You cannot hurt them. Not with anything but the big guns marked by big letters.
Want to hurt the ship? Capture big guns. As many as you can. Then keep them.
It doesn't matter if you have a tank, or a dropship, or anything else.
I don't know what's up with this lately. I keep seeing people turning away from the reds to shoot at the MCC.
Rilfes, lasers, forge guns, tanks.... All pointed up at the MCC, while their owners are being shot at but the other team.
If it was just a couple I would have thought it was a joke.... I don't get it....

its possible reds are on top of the mcc via dropship...that's a favorite hangout of snipers and FGs...I have seen newbs in academy do this however with no one up there. |

I think we can thank the 500-1500 WP limit in the Academy for that. Newberries need more training and INSTRUCTION. I have noticed this phenomenon also.

Actually it does take a small amount of damage from the larger weapons- railsguns on tanks and the turrets themselves- It's however a soon to be waste of ammo and the amounts aren't really enough to even put a dent in the HP. It's the equivalent of shooting at a dreadnought or titan with civilian turrets on an Ibis. |

Once upon a time you could actually deal damage to the MCC with turrets and AV weapons. You'd even get some warpoints for it.
That was a long time ago though. Maybe one day it will return. |

I can't really believe anyone does this. It's some sort of forum in-joke, right?
Sometimes when I run up the crest of a hill and suddenly see red health bars I might shoot, then realise it's just the stupid MCC (because I really need it's health bars creating un-needed info on my screen). But otherwise, no one does this, surely?
Still, that sucker stays real still - should learn to bunny hop! |

Well, something bothered me. i wrote it out and it made me feel better. That was the point. I never entered my mind that I might educate anyone.
But suppose it was pointless. What would be more pointless? A post with no point. Or a reply to a pointless post, pointing out that the pointless post was pointless?
Hmmmm. I'll need some time to powder this. I think it's one of those " sound of one hand clapping" kind of things...

I'll admit when I was a brand new player I did this exact thing, but only with the turrets. I figured they were anti-aircraft guns since they were so damn big. |

I wish it were a joke. A couple of days ago I watched a guy jump down from our MCC and man a missile turret. You know, one of the turrets that can't possibly EVER have a red come into LOS because it's on a hill facing away from the map and directly below the MCC. Well this guy proceeded to shoot the red MCC for nearly 3 minutes straight before finally giving up and trying to kill something he could actually hurt. |

It's been my experience that when I shoot the MCC that thing pops up on the scanner bigger than a Christmas tree.
That way my whole team can spot it and know exactly where it is.
So much for stealth muthafuckas! |

These comments have realy helped me I am new and have shot at the mcc but realized it did nothing one thing realy interests me though for one I dedent know that dropships could fly above the mcc and two u would have to b a realy good sniper to hit somthing from the top of one of those I've had trouble with snipers before iv located them for my scwad but when they get there there not there and they kill us again now I know were to look next time |

Actually, no. Damage efficiency against MCCs with any weapon is 0%. Nothing can damage it except Null Cannons and the missile barrages shot from the MCCs.
Doesn't mean I still don't shoot at them.   |
