Hello fellow forge gun users. I have been using the forge gun since chromosome. I see a lot of forge guns on towers nowadays. Yet almost always they are without "squad" support. They run out of ammo fast, and jump off the tower to a supply depot or nanohive, and have to fly all the way back up themselves. Or they get hit by a sniper and I do not see their armor repairing. I would like to share a few tips with my fellow solo-FGers
Make a fit in a basic logistics suit, or any suit with 2 or more equipment slots. I have the basic minmatar logistics suit, with a toxin ar, 2 nanohives, and a drop uplink and thats it. Costs me about 6k per suit. Very cheap.
Fly up to your perch of choice in this fit. Drop the nanohives and uplink(s). Then suicide. Respawn in your forge gun fit at your deployed uplink. Profit.
Now you can forge gun solo, with all the benefits of squad support.
I used to only go about 10/5 a match before this method. Since I have implemented this method I now go 20/1 or 20/2 (those deaths are from suicide)
Thanks for reading and enjoy!

Same company different studios, one has near perfected the player feedback process, the other is still rolling on the floor after it fell over its first baby step. |

I do this with the uplink and make one of my squad give me a hive, then I'm sorted. I will get a Logi eventually to do it properly. |

I can honestly say I thought that was what every solo forge gunner did. Was the first thing to pop into my mind when wondering what they did to resupply. |

EDIT* I forgot to add that the suit you suicide in pays for itself with extra money gained from WPs from team spawns and re-supplies
I always thought this was obvious... Other people don't do this? |

I just see a lot of people not using this method and I wanted to share, I do see other people using it occasionally, but most of the time no. I don't play FW so maybe that could be why I don't see a lot of people doing this. |

Yeah this is basically tower camping 101- first you go up with your logi fit and set up camp (usually stable uplink, k-2 hive, whatever the ADV repper hive is), then die and come back as your real fit. |

Ooh shiii I hope not. The equipment is thrown down already, i think its fair that it stays there once the player has died.
I see what you mean though and I hope it isn't anything more than another page in the strategy book |

Why not fit that Logi with a Sniper Rifle and put some Kills on it before you lose it? It's the beginning of the match and zergs are easy targets.
Otherwise, good thinking. |

Why hide on a tower it's much more fun down on the field. Besides your just begging for an orbital to be dropped on you. |

Yeah but by the time they get an orby I've already got at least 10 kills so I feel that its worth it. And idk, I guess being assault just doesn't fit everyone, or else they wouldn't have put sniper rifles into the game |
