it seems to me that fitting is far more difficult in dust than it is in eve. of course, that could just be my experience, or it could be planned by ccp to give people a reason to run better suits, but in eve i can fit a tier one frigate to kill anyone, in dust fitting a a-1 racial variant is very tight to say the least. what do the devs think?
second question: is it planned to give the players better payouts for 'quality kills'? if i kill a proto in my militia suit, i think i should get more money at the end of the match. at least a higher percentage of the gear i blew up, since i can't grab the loot.
thanks for your time.

I don't play EVE but if what you say is accurate you might have a fair point.
I do like the idea of "quality kills" I think that the difference in WP or ISK awarded should be small but noticable. I think this would have the effect of folks scaling their equpment in the inital parts of the matches and bringing in Advanced / Proto gear as the situation warranted. Not sure how much a long term difference this will make but it could help as a shaping tool to cut down a few of the Proto vs Militia curbstomps.

my point is: we're already giving up all those slots, do we really need to have such limited power grid and cpu too? |

i guess my point is: you can increase your pg by 30% you can bring your cpu up by 30%. you can bring your weapon fitting cost down 25%
but you can't reduce the cost of biotics (which is necessary, as the only suit with a proper endurance level is the assault, but that's a post for a different time) you can't bring down the cost of shields, or armour, or electronics, or gear.
these things need help. using 3 pg on your basic endurance mod is using up a slot and crippling your fitting. let alone the 3pg mod is not very good... |
