I am somewhat surprised by this because i consider militia gear a great way to test and feel how you like a weapon or dropsuit. But there are still some things that are not militia. Please make the following things available as militia gear. flaylock gun plasma cannon mass driver
I dont really care what stats you come up with as long as it gives a semi accurate feel as to what the weapon is like. I would love to test drive these weapons but i am not going to skill into something just to test it out. Thats what militia gear is for. |

I totally forgot about the scramblers. I have wanted to test those out for a while now. It would cost a pretty good amount of sp to test out all these weapons just to see what they are like and if i want to actually use them or not. I want to skill further into my commando but i want to see what weapon combinations will work well.

Nova knives need a militia variant too. Same with other light weapons and such. I think this is the reason ppl out of the academy skill into the assault rifle because that is the basic front line light weapon. That's why it's over used, Good post. |

Bro dont skill into commando. Not until they get buffed.
I currently Run an Assault amarr (one of my loadouts) and pack 680 EHP, Exo Mass driver and Six kin SMG,have 210 stamina and run at 6.8. Its by all means better to learn how to use a Side arm than Having to be a red, slow, weak behemoth of laughs... |

we need an Ascr at standard and milita level too.
in the games coding if you go to market place and see "variants" for the lv4 AScr, you will see a weapon underneath it that says "assault scambler". this is the standard level version.
IDK why they wont allow use to get it at a lower level. |

HAHA... the biggest flavor of the month is have a Proto caldari assault suit, with duvolle cuz it always had the best stats, highest ehp, and greatest dps. but never got nerfed...lol
also, another flavor that never got sour, is starting an EVE corp, donating eve money to it, and then logging on DUST and taking the money... |

Currently I just create an alt and use the Free SP to do my test drives but I must admit that making a MLT version of all weapons would be a lot less taxing for me. I'd like to have an alt that I could use just as a second character but I'm always finding myself creating and deleting test clones in order to try out something new. Currently testing the Plasma Cannon and I gotta say, it's actually kinda fun (needs some tweaking though).
`Sigh. Just another fun game of DUST. |

I agree all weapon types, vehicle types , and ds frames should have a milita variant. Modules are the exception but should still mostly represented though. |

There should be properly scaled militia versions of all weapons. This is true for a laundry list of reasons that I've stated so many times I'm going to skip it in this post.

Pejorative and inaccurate, at minimum this is not the method actually used in EVE so if someone sells you that as "how things are done in EVE" they're trolling you.

Agreed
Quote: and more importantly , we need skill respecs. Not just no but kitten no!
I'll give this thread the respect it deserves by not dragging it off topic, but suffice it to say that there are pages worth of respec threads most of which have failed to even remotely address a list of reasons I posted a long time ago about why respec are an awful idea within a persistent world.

As far as respecs go I say give everyone a respec item (used like a sp booster) that reduces your SP gain for 24 hours. After the timer is up then you ragain all your SP (but no ISK). The item cannot be traded or sold (when those functions are in-game) and you are given it right after you leave academy. If you use it early then that's on you but it would be best to hold on to it until you feel you REALLY need it. After it is used you will NOT get any more EVER!!!! so any issues you have at that point would truly be your own fault. CCP made a mistake and changed something that your really liked and probably depended on for your fit? That would be a good time to respec. Something new come out and you wanna try it? Save up for it or respec. The choice is yours and so are the consequences.
MLT versions of all items should be released with the exception of specialized suits and vehicles.
`Sigh. Just another fun game of DUST. |

So CCP this is a really simple request and i think a very reasonable request. But no response at all? Maybe if i was to talk about some shinny new thing to add to the hud i would get a response.

Overly simple option would be to remove all militia items. Doing so would force the use if SP to skill into basic variants of weapons to try OR use AUR to purchase a couple of the basic weapons to try out (no skill requirement).
I like that there are militia items, but they should be noticeably worse that standard items in all aspects... Not just PG & CPU |

This thread is supposed to primarily be about the fact there are several weapons where there is no militia equivalent. I think there are a lot of people that would like to see militia variants of these weapons. I myself would love to test out several of these weapons. I dont like to skill into anything without testing it out first. |
