and did very very good in close quarters

So go with the ADV Caldari Assault. Personally, I would not spend any SP, 'cause you won't get it back when CCP breaks your playstyle.

Heavy and Forge gun takes more skill. Plus everybody will hate you. THE REAL advantage of using forge guns are: 1-its the weapon it BEST rewards you for your aim, but punishes you the most if you fail 2-Its the only weapon that can deal damage to every single thing the enemy might throw at you 3-It feels awesome to have that charged shot and pop it in some Proto Logi Caldari's face. Disadvantage: 1-You'll eventually notice that the lack of speed on the Heavy suit is an issue not really compensated by their high EHP. 2-You dont have nanohives, so you WILL depend on Teammates or supply depos for restock. 3-The Forge gun is NOT effective at CQC , you can take 1 enemy at most, but thats it. So you really need to get GOOD with a side arm. Scrambler pistols and SMG's are the best since they have high RoF to compensate the slow RoF of the FG. Or you can use both, one for diferent situations? I mean i have= Amarr Sentinel Amarr Commando Amarr Logi Amarr Assault Minmatar Scout Caldari Assault And Cal Logi. XD
