I understand that tying the Dust and the Eve economies together is something to be approached with caution. You don't want to destroy the Eve economy, or shackle it to a game in a genre whose players are notoriously fickle.
However, there is an easy way to tie the two economies together without causing isk inflation etc.
Allow Aurum transfer between Dust and Eve.
First, let's get the obvious thing out of the way:
How do we benefit?
Eve corps can send Dust corps Aurum, which is the first type of actual cross-game payment system. You will have Eve alliances bankrolling Dust corporations, which is the entire point of tying the games together. So, your corp can distribute aurum to players to buy boosters and neo suits and whatever, safe in the knowledge that it doesn't destroy the isk economy of Dust because you can't buy them with isk anyway.
How does CCP benefit?
Lots more RL money spent. Every Aurum sent from Eve to Dust came out of a player spending RL money (not necessarily the person sending the AUR, because of the pLEX system).
In addition, it will shut up the whining from Australian players and anyone else getting gouged by the PS Store. Sure, they won't get the neat stuff from the merc packs, but at least they can achieve parity on the aurum they get transferred.
How does Sony benefit?
Technically, this harms Sony, because I'm sure they get a cut of everything that is sold through the PS store, which they won't if someone transfers it from Eve instead of buying merc packs (well, technically they could if the contract is written that way, but anyone who signed that would have a lot of splainin to do) On the flip side, this is something that both CCP and Sony knew would have to come eventually, so I'm hoping CCP has a legal way to do it.
Admit it, you just want to buy active boosters using the massive stockpile of PLEX you have on your Eve account, you bitter vet
This ....... is true. |

That can be fixed - multiply all Eve aurum by 10x and you have the value of dust aurum. |

So all things considered, it's not a huge obstacle. |

Lol, aurum transfers are not allowed from person to person in Eve.
I would tell you what is infinitely far more valuable.
Isk transfers, and secondary market where one can sell said aurum gear. |

The biggest obstacle would be a legal one. And that is pretty big. Like you said, negotiating the relationship between aurum bought in Eve vs. that in Dust would require a lot of conversation between Sony and CCP. |

Why would that be a problem? Once someone buys Aurum, it turns into points that have no legal value, so they can be transferred without currency-related implications. |

They are allowed on the chinese Eve server, so it's not as if CCP hasn't already done the coding for it.
