That's a fact of computers in general that it will increase performance if you're having issues. However, some console games will cap the amount of fps you get for some reason. I have no idea if Dust does that as well, but I wouldn't be all that surprised if it followed the crowd and did the same thing. |

In the Game of Thrones books there are lots of myths and legends that are complete BS....
In fact with some of the more recent events the book tracks how myths are made. For example the Frays sow the head of Robb Stark's dire wolf on his neck and tell everyone he turned into a werewolf and attacked everyone at the Red Wedding. |

If it does, the advantage is minimal. While in theory lowering your resolution should increase FPS, that is not necessarily the case if fill rate is not the performance bottleneck. The game still has significant slow downs in 480p, so this seems to be the case with DUST.
It will never do harm of course, but don't expect the game to run noticeably faster in 480p. Note that I tested it with detail settings set to low, so perhaps it's different if these are set to higher values (but why would you play with high details in ugly 480p...). |

(Almost?) all console games do that, either to 30 or 60 FPS. DUST is locked to 30 FPS AFAIK, but unfortunately it frequently drops below that, which is really sad. |

It is fact I've done it but its not to much of a difference so I switched back to 1080p. Well its set at 1080p dont know if the game run that high or just 720p |
