Since everyone is grudgingly saying the Mass Driver isn't OP, and explosives have always been bothersome to deal with, I suggest that a anti-explosive module for dropsuits should be available. What do you guys think? |

I'm sure they're in the works. Explosive hardeners and the like are in EvE, so I'm 90% sure they'll be implemented in Dust soon^tm enough |

I had a proposal to have player velocity decrease damage if it was greater than the explosive velocity (similar to how it works in EVE). This would encourage some people to speed-fit scouts who could mitigate some damage by sprinting through it. It would also creat new and interesting tactical gameplay options. Have AOErs hit a cluster of enemies in cover, causing them to start running in straight lines which would give your teammates with rifles the opportunity to pick them off. |

Scouts wouldn't have the space for such a mod If high then shield tankers are weakened vs all other forms of attack. (I'm in favor of making them high slots) If low then armor tankers get yet another nurf and explosives no longer deal increased damage vs armor tankers as they are meant to do.
So to say that "EVERYONE would fit that module" is a bit off.
`Sigh. Just another fun game of DUST. |

Im gonna be honest i DONT know what the big fuzz is about with MD users.
Whenever i hear one or see on i just throw a grenade at him and voila. You have a 500+ damage explosions? I mean, people just dont realize but, arent grenades simply a LOT better than MDs?? MD's take a LOT more of skill than just holding on to a grenade for 2 seconds and make it explode in someone's face.... Learn grenades, then laugh at MDs.... |

I am fine wit mass drivers. But i think there is a problem with hit detection or something. Last night i was face to face with an assault suit that was kitting me with a mass driver and i was just barely outside melee range yet they were not getting hit by the splash damage. I should have easily out lasted that assault being in a heavy suit. With how close we were it should have been suicidal for him to even use a mass driver.

`Sigh. Just another fun game of DUST . I bet most heavies would find room for such a mod weather it was hi or low. I would prefer low since sentinal suits really skimp on hi slots. |
