I'm curious as to what other corps are doing and why the devs felt the need to tax both eve and dusties the same rate? What many of our Dust corp members make in isk we often break even or come out ahead in hard fought battles where we loose many proto suits. We had a standard tax where we each donated a million a week, but now people want to implement the new % tax coming in 1.4. Is there a cap on this tax? Why should I pay more in taxes because I play more? Those who play more now have pay more. I now have to play with my friends is what I ask our leadership? It has left our corp devided and many of us plan to walk away from the game. Our Eve players are now taxed at 10% and if our Dusties are asked to pay the same rate 10% we will be broke all the time. We will not be self reliant and will constantly need the corps to reimburse us or be forced to play in our blueprint suits and expect to slaughtered on the battlefield. Everyone was happy with our 1 million dollar a week donation, everyone paid the same amount. Now some of us will be paying over 2 million while others who play just to cap may pay less than 1 million. Does this mean my corps should now pay me back more since I'm paying more? I believe it does.
So I ask the Devs, Why set one tax rate for a corp where Eve currency and Dust Currency are not yet the same? It's like apples and oranges. Euro's to American Dollars. I think there should have been a setting for 2 different tax rates before this was released. A 10% tax on an Eve Player currency is not the same as 10% tax on a Dust Player. It will break some of us. And many of us feel that a flat Tax on Dusties would be more fair.
I'm also curious as to how other corps are handling these new upcoming changes? I was perfectly content with a flat tax, now because I may have to pay more in a tax because I play more, I may just walk away from the game. Others in this corp feel the same way. So how do other corps plan to address this % tax? |

I"m in favor of it, I"d just say don't proto/stomp so hard as you used to, which is not a huge deal. Go standard or advance and you will still turn a profit even with a 10% income tax rate.

I agree Oswald, but then it also raises the question...why should I pay more in taxes in the long run if I do better than most and end up paying more. In turn then some how shouldn't I receive more back from the corp?

If you do better than most and play more, then you have more clout and will most likely have more influence on how that money is used. |

I take from this that you haven't paid taxes in real life before? |

Take that up with your corp then, it isn't our problem if you're being under-compensated for your contribution by your corp. |

10% Tax? And you're always broke? Because you are broke by giving away 30.000 ISK from 300.000 ISK you win in a match? |
