Now I can keep track of people with my HMG.
No more "run past the fat man" any more!
But really, this with the armor buff will hopefully make good heavy players stand out as someone you don't want to run into in CQC... Unless you're running in a squad of MD users, then we're screwed. |

i don't understand why people think the armor buff helps the heavy in some way... you're slightly faster? *slow clap* |

It's not the movement penalty reduction I'm considering a buff. |

It isn't much of a change for anyone who knew how to adjust their sensitivity settings already, but it does make a big difference if you switch between Heavy and lighter suits (I don't). It's the strafing changes that are more interesting...
When they had the strafe bug right after 1.3, I could jiggle like BJ Raji and win juking contests against shotgun scouts. It was kinda awesome. Moved faster side to side than back to front... |

everyone gets the buff ... so caldari suits can shield and armor tank better now lol
Plus, MD's are still there, locus nades still there, flaylock pistols still there... a few extra HP won't make a difference when everyone else has it. |

Yeah, everyone does get the buff. I'm saying, specifically for the Heavy dropsuit, the increased turning speed combined with how we're forced towards armor tanking.... Plus the recoil reduction for the HMG, I almost forgot about that... Anyway, we can sit in one spot longer and hopefully turn fast enough to keep up with people that use sprinting past us as a strategy.
And it's a good thing I'm spec'ed into commando and MD's.... If you can't beat them, join them. Then blow them up from the inside. |

You also forgot aim-assisted HMGs. Heavies are gonna be beasts.

/me wonders the people dismissing the notion now are going to be among the first to start whining to nerf armor. |

Big question is will they have viable suits in higher tiers that are ISK efficient? That has been their biggest limiting factor to date.
It they get those, they will become zombie robo-beasts with dinosaur DNA. And i mean that in the technical sense. |

Unless I'm using an AR and am shield tanked past 500, HMG heavies are insanely powerful right now and can easily rip me up in CQC before I can even touch their armor. The main issue is that AR's are so insanely effective against heavies. |
