I thought you were going to leave changing the av/vehicle balance for 1.5

It's just that it's immediately obvious what the result will be to anyone who's had some experience running vehicles or AV.
Scratch that, it's obvious to anyone that they've just increased the burst damage of a weapon by more than double... and if you look slightly further ahead the overall DPS is up by just over 50%.
You just... you don't do that.
Swarms were already a weapon that performed great as well. It's the 400 WP Academy all over again, who the hell approves these things? |

yeah, maybe if they did anything at all that put anyone's faith in this game. last time I had faith was right before uprising dropped. it's been a massive downward spiral since then, what with better games releasing, and this game progressively gettign worse for vehicles.
I've been saying it for a while now, 1.5 is just going to remove vehicles entirely, then CCP will talk about how vehicle releated complaints are down and keep circlejerking with the rest of the ar/md514 club. |

No matter what happens to vehicles it's a lose lose for me because I'll always be a dropship pilot at heart, but with my ADD there is virtually no hope in me going back there for a long, long time.

I'm not going to blame wolfman for the swarm launcher. He seems to be a good dev and gives us a heads up when he can but this would have been nice to know about before hand.
With that being said, I think its totally screwed up that I wont even have enough time for after burners to be activate so now we cant even out run swarms anymore. Tanking will be impossible with even one AV'er on the field and regular LAV's and dropships wont even have a chance to make it to the ground. |

From the looks of it Wolfman has a lot on his plate as it is. If the focus for 1.4 was infantry and 1.5 was vehicles, why does it surprise people that vehicles weren't covered in 1.4? My vehicle bros, you can either accept that it will be a month and tough it out, or just leave already and stop complaining. Keep up the constructive feedback, I want you here, but please be patient. |

I also wonder why they had to touch the vehicle balance by modifying the swarm launcher in 1.4. There was seriously no need to do that at all and now we're all baffled as to why dropships and HAVs have to deal with 50% higher DPS coming at them.
Also, the only bit of vehicle balancing I would've supported, the reduction of the LLAV inherent damage resist, doesn't show up in the changelog. |
