Read the patch note. Instantly saw the inevitable annihilation of the scout class as an entity in Dust. Same rotation speeds for all classes? It's being good knowing you my dear gallente scout. o7
In all seriousness, I expect this update will do more to move Dust closer to what was promised than anything we've seen in a while - but just not for scouts. Even heavies can rejoice (why were they complaining in the first place?). Just nothing for scouts. |

I'm going to try it out after 1.4 to see what improvements were made to SG and NK hit detection, and if the scanning nerf helps at all.
If it doesn't work out, I'm retiring to the hills as a Sniper.
If anything, I'd just like them to revert our stamina back to how it was (No delay, faster recharge) then I'd be happy for another month.
Most of my deaths are caused due to not being able to sprint. |

Heavys were never complaining. Surprisingly enough even with the HMG nerf and now the threats of nerfing the Forge gun we have stayed quiet. It explains why they are messing with us in 1.4. Blame the AR guys and the new guys who don't have the sp to become efficient yet or the sense to look both ways while crossing open territory...
Also, every other thread I see involving heavys, some punk ass scout or medium suit is loling at how easy it is to run circles around a heavy. Keep my race out your mouth or actually feel my wrath like thor raining down thunder from the heavens.
As for scouts you need to learn to be sneaky. No more shared vision between squads and you get love next update. Htfu.

Shared vision getting removed might be a buff to us scouts but we'll have to play it to find out. If active scanners start getting used like crazy it might cancel it out since I know they have a pretty hard to avoid scan precision. Even as scouts we might have to start using more profile dampeners, but my memory is bad so I'll have to get in game and check the numbers.
I'm still a little butthurt about equal rotation speed and slower scout speed though. Starting from behind is one of the only ways scouts can get an advantage so we're getting a slight nerf with this. But i'll try and reserve judgement until I get to play it. |

Equal turn speed for all suits is fine I guess, but it does remove one of the few things scouts could use to their advantage... and they've needed some love for some time already.

...not sure how easy it'll be to sneak up on people anyway if KB/M players can now look all around them with a few quick flicks of the wrist. |

Gallente Scouts have no profile advantage over the Minmatar Scouts. |

Gallente Scouts have no profile advantage over the Minmatar Scouts.
I believe Gal scout gains a dampening bonus through skills, while Min gains meele bonus.
Not sure if it is the Scout bonus or the racial bonus that does dampening though. |

Keep in mind heavies still don't have equipment slots for active scanners...

It's scout bonus that lowers profile, not racial. Gallente Racial increases Scan Range |
