Make it so that the person who did the most damage to the enemy gets the kill instead of the person who just shoots your enemy once with a militia AR. |

Kill is a kill.
the number of assist points you get should scale with damage.
However, biggest change is that you should still get assists even if the enemies armor/shield recharge kicks in (as long as it hasn't fully recharged). too many times I've done almost all the damage to a player, they get away, begin healing, someone else gets an easy kill, and I get no assist points. <-- this bugs me more. |

I'd agree except doing the most damage isn't necessarily what caused the death.
I've had a sliver of health, ran around a corner and been done by a militia fit. He wasn't the one that put me in critical condition but they were the ones that left me on the ground.

I made a request in feedback related to this.
It's not the law of the land in every game, as you'll notice many RPGs apportion EXP by damage dealt.
I stopped bumping that particular request topic after Cross Atu said they had something like this in the works. I don't recall hearing about it personally, but it seems like a silly thing to lie about. |

Think of it this way. If a squadmate "steals" your kill, your squad can get more WP which leads to faster OBs, and even faster with defend orders. I "give" kills to teammates sometimes just for this purpose. If you solo kill, you get 60 WP at most as a squad. If you and two squadmates hit someone and your squad gets the kill, you can get 120 WP.
Moral of the story:
Share kills and get crazy WP. |

Kill is a kill. For all you know, the person who "stole" your kill just saved your ass.
However, the assist system needs to be improved. If I chase an HAV around the map with AV for half the game, sometimes I don't even get an assist for destroying it because a bunch of AR users decided to shoot at it when it was on fire. A pack of assholes who did nothing get the assists, and I get nothing. |

Ive been using the scrambler rifle with my squad mates and it means that we can collectively drop alot more clones together. I dont mind buffing a corp mates KDR. Although the Scrambler does lack the ability to function in its niche due to recoil and range, it still is my new favorite weapon. I can drop shilds in 2-3 shots or one chargeed headshot. I just got board of the scrub suit i was running (Cal Assault/ AR maxed). |

I'd be happy if assists were displayed on the the killboard and factored into kdr somehow.
I know kdr isn't important, but seeing 2-10 on the KB after getting 9 assists is kind of a bummer.
But (isk)damage dealt vs (isk) damage recieved would be even better. |
