CCP- I really like this game. As a PC Eve Online gamer this is my first cross over onto the PS3 mainly because I love the Eve Universe. As a globalist consumer I want to support the type of game play and integration you are developing between the UT III Engine and your PC based engine for Eve Online. To me it is pure innovation that many gamers wish for but don't understand the process or time that goes into game development on your project. We focus on the shiny which is only natural since we game- heh.
With the game in mind one aspect I was surprised that is not in game are the missions\quests system such as what we have in Eve Online. I understand the design doc for Dust 514 as a shooter lobby but I think the shooter lobby concept creates a divide between New Eden and Dust 514. And in way that is too be expected. New Eden is massive while Dust 514 are relatively small maps. I would ask for larger worlds that feel like a Massively Online Universe that reflects the massive size of Eve Online with a mission system for Dust 514 that takes us across New Eden but also across the planets we take part on.
As a request I would propose a mission system like we see in Eve Online that would compliment the size of larger maps and adhere to players who want to solo or play in squads. Bring that Massively Online feel to the game. In addition Eve pilots could play into the factor for some missions. Just like mission in Eve generate ISK so could missions generate ISK for Dust 514 players. A system that implements contractual agreements for missions to be split between both games could also work. An example would be to split the missions between the Eve pilot and the Dust 514 player/ As a result we would have new content, new systems, and more integration between Dust 514 and Eve Online. And at some point items could be crafted that would assist the game play for both games to integrate from a crafters\market perspective.
That would be a heck of a development cycle. |

Please remit 5 million ISK per week for your Merc license payable to any member of Goonfeet.
Failure to comply will result in trolling, bumping, ganking, blasting and otherwise being folded, spindled and mutilated.
Thank you drive through.

Eve's mission system is terrible, and every proposal for an Eve/Dust cooperative mission system has also been terrible. Lets get the player economy up and linked so the goods blown up in Dust have to be manufactured in Eve. |
