every day or two this message shows up, and when it does it's always when deploying into a battle. typically it appears while leaving the merc quarters, but before reaching the loading screen to the war barge.
this evening i had been charging my mic, and when the mic was turned back on and the output switched from my tv to the headset, the same message showed up.
it seems as though it is triggered when the game automatically changes my chat channel, such as when it moves from corp chat to team chat when deploying, and then again today when it automatically switched from tv output to headset output.
i'm curious if there are any long term players that have never seen this message.
if so, i may pursue deleting dust and re-installing the game file. otherwise, if most of the player base also gets this error, perhaps it's something CCP can look into?
I searched and read many previous posts with similar subjects, but none had details for what might have caused it, and none had any dev responses. |

Check the sticky for Tech/Bug Weekly Updates. It is up to three pages and this problem has been awhile for some time. Which means you might have to scan some to find a mention of it.
There is one in Feedback as well. Both are updated Thursdays Shanghai time, last I knew.
Yours is the only one that had this detail, that I can recall anyway. Although I don't have either situation you reported and I have had the problem in the past I have not had it recently. Previously I suspect network connectivity issues. Although switching channels/sound output might put enough lag into the communication to aggravate the problem. |

got the corrupted black screen again this evening, playing domination on a 1.4 map. once again, it happened within a second of switching my chat channel from team to corp.
the sticky mentioned previously doesn't represent the issue i'm having with this corrupted info screen. definitely some good info in there though :) |
