Well, now this sounds like it comes down to a simple question of philosophy. How does one in fact 'harden the **** up?' And in what way should it be applied to the situation at hand? Wouldn't being 'hard' mean being willing to ask pertinent questions involving game design and balance? After all, if he weren't hard enough to ask those questions, then wouldn't that mean he was a softy? And don't softies get raped in prison? EVE works under prison rules, right?
And of course the whole HTFU thing (which seems to translate downward as 'choke on it b*tch'), can lead to some truly tragic results. Who doesn't recall the case of Johnny Mcgerk, who was stabbed several times in the throat and left to bleed out on a sidewalk after suggesting someone HTFU one time too many? |

So salty.......look I do believe that if you worked and grinded for SP to finally unlock proto suits, you have every right to wear it and bring terrible pain to anyone standing or running around in the open. Hell, if I had proto suits, I'd wear it to wreak some havoc. So, technically speaking, they men/women with proto gear/suits don't suck; they worked their asses off to obtain it  |

I keep coming back to this thread. Something about it just makes me happy. All my little heart worms cant stop wiggling.
That said, sometimes it just happens man. Assuming you're not the problem so many different variables could make it so you ....just....wont win. Maybe they had a better team. You can do go great as one guy, but if the team doesn't have it than you will lose most matches. Maybe luck just rolled in their favor. Each second you are making like 30 different choices. Up, down, left, right, back, forward, rifle, grenade, firing, throwing, up-link, charging, waiting, etc etc. Some things have a snowball effect. Maybe people got distracted. I'm a professional who works 50+ hours a week and on call 24/7 literally. I really just want to sit down and BE A NERD for half an hour but hey, sometimes I dont get that. I got to push my cats off of me. I have to answer the phone from work. My family calls. My wife wants to decorate the living room in a beach theme because we're in california on the beach and its the first room people see and so we should make it peaceful and welcoming with cooler shades and a nature theme but amazon just delivered SAGE curtains instead of light ocean blue and I dont even know where the sand colored wall mounted shelves are and...and...and....I'm trying to keep 4 heavies armor repaired with my tool.(hehe)
Things happen man. Just roll with it.

How are pub matches about making your team win, when you can loose 10 games in a row and still come out ahead in your personal KD ration and isk vs loss. If the matches were about making your tema win no one would AFK, it wouldn't be profitable. |

I.e. Hong Kong show , Russia Igromir show, Tapei show, etc.
Show Participants AKA NOOBS!!! full prototype gear, 90 million sp .
We in LOTIS were running militia and basic.
We killed those proto guys and gals from those shows so many times that we called them ISK pinatas since each time we killed one of them it was an easy 100k.
A lot of times we went 800k to over a million isk from killing them. |

Yeah, they aren't relying on the numbers their gear gives.
They are relying on the numbers their skill points give.
And the numbers their gear gives.
As I've said, add an extra slot which only has 500k sp and can't gain SP, for testing out whether one has improved as a player, or one is just coasting along on high numbers. |

Last night I did 20/3 with all militia gear on my alt, lol you know the games messed when I can go 20/3 wit a militia assault an AR, but my prototype scout has a hard time going over ten kills everytime you turn a corner an get ohk by everything in the game an my free fit is better than my 120 000k proto scout! |

if they are proto than they probably aren't noobs do u know how much SP it takes to get proto!
and the FG is built to kill tanks so im sure it could kill a Dropsuit E.G. if someone gets shot by a rocket nower days there is no chance of brushing it of because it is designed to break TANKS |
