we need proximity microphones so we can hear enemy mercs within 10 meters or so, battlefield 2 style. maby some skills will be necessary to do it or something |

Only on Our team.
If we were able to listen in on our enemys conversations, that may be a little OP-ish. Yes. Now communication is OP.
If there was something to listen in on enemy comms, I would have it be a Mod that taps in, so you can hear enemies within your regular Proxi comm range. |

passively listening to advanced communications being used inside a sealed suit where your not going to be able to physically hear them anyway is a bit OP imo. now a module which allows you to snoop in on enemy comms actively would be much better.
directional mic (similar to active scanner but more precise)
give every suit/vehicle its own resistance to this type of module
dropship - immune scout/tank - strong resistance assault/heavy - medium resistance logistics/lav - weak resistance
when you get an active lock on a player you get "X" amount of time listening to that specific player, just him/her not their friends this way you have to figure out what's going on rather than it all being laid out on a platter for you

Their channels have more features than DUST channels. First they can boot (maybe block) someone from a channel, unlike DUST. As it is EVE based so no talk in there would be available for others to hear down in the DUST. Although the Devs could, theoretically hack up a feature to do just that; Considering that just keeping voice working is hard enough it is unlikely. |
