Well, the merc IIRC only comes with active, while the vet comes with an active and passive. I love passive boosters, they're a weekend warriors best friend.

Was about to do it again, but my buds insisted I go for the elite pack. Scanning over the dren suit/ar, i noticed it closely resembling adv-level gear respectively. Hardly ever use aur, outside of buying the passive boost since merc comes with active. Absolutely HATE murder-taxi drivers, so I would never...E.V.E.R...stoop to their level with the free car. Any opinions as to if its really worth dropping the benji? After watching the E3 2011 trailer, I had high hopes...is this really gona last long enough to put the pack to good use?

Elite is a nice deal, if you attach monetary value, The Aurum and one booster covers the 100 bucks, so the other stuff is basically a throw in. I wish I could change the Dren colors though, not a big fan. My favorite pack I bought, honestly was the vet pack. I love the blood raider, it's the best looking LAV out there. The suit is all flash, as mentioned in an above post. For me, the piece de resistance was the covenant rifle. I don't know what it is with that rifle, but I'm in love with it. It's not even all that powerful, maybe it's more of a good luck thing but I get the most kills with it when I snipe, although normally I'm an AR guy.

The Covenant Assault C-I looks really cool with the red-skin. The Covenant sniper rifle bpo is also better than the militia. Lastly the Dren series suits are somewhat fuggly looking, zero effort was put into them. I bought the Elite Pack during the optional respec to avoid having any SP in Dropsuit Command until CCP get's that skill tree better sorted out. The Dren Sentinel with lots of SP in Dropsuit Upgrades can run proto Heavy Weapons with decent enough fits.

I'm sayin, you use the merc pack aur to buy a passive booster. In the end, you get more boosters for $50 than you do with vet pack.
