Is anyone else a bit annoyed at some players that seem to know exactly how long to hold a grenade so that as soon as it lands it blows up? I would really like to have the chance to run but it's impossible. Any advice for this? |

if u see there hand go back a.k.a grenade animation for two seconds u better run or if all of a sudden there shooting at u then they stop either jump back jump right or left or hopefully u have a heavy suit that will take the hit hope that helps |

No. It's called cooking a grenade.
If you're blasting away at somebody or if you see a red approaching without firing, wouldn't you think they have a trick up their sleeve and you need to take precaution?
Some of these things take having a fighter's instinct. It's not that hard. |

Priming a grenade depends on the distance to target so if you want to mess up their prime, change the distance to them by back peddling when shooting them or move in really close if they just got out the grenade.

And what about the guy's that just come out of nowhere and just does that the whole game. How about them hmm? I know it's cooking a grenade but to have the exact timing down that it blows up when it hits the ground just gets on my nerves, especially when they just spam them cause they have a nanohive babysitting them. Oh well, I guess I just have to hope for the bigger map shoot outs because on some, it's really hard to get the drop on themXD |

LOL yea that sucks but it's part of war right? I think you should take that as a lesson to make sure you have battlefield awareness and that no one gets that close to you. I mean, I would be pissed too most definitely but I would like to better my strategy to defeat that. There's always a way. |

you kno what i always give kudos to those who are great cooks(lol) but dont get po'd dude it takes skill to do so dont get mad get even .... a locus gernade can be held 6 seconds safley just take some time from a match and practice |

If you can't out run them. I just stand right by them so when they throw it or not they blew me and themselves up  |

You have to think of the grenade as a situational weapon and try to predict when you're in that situation. Are you just behind a corner with low health? Are you in a death cone with little mobility? Are you camping and objective with a bunch of teammates? As a enthusiastic grenadier myself, I try to guess when and where I might grenade myself and what an opponent might do to counter that.
Oh, and popping grenades on the ground is childish, like those popper on the 4th of July. Real mercs time it just in front of their face.  |

Probably gambling. I squaded up with Vala a week or two ago and we did a couple of matches to see who could get the most kills with grenades. I won the bet on the first match and would have won on the other matches if killing yourself with the grenade counted.... |

my advice is learn to count.
and learn to listen, because the granade will TELL you when its about to blow up and has a fricken timer built in!
it ticks... just count the damn ticks and you too can pretend your pro with granades and not just counting to 4 |

I can pick up 12 to 20 kills per ambush match launching grenades with nanohives, so I know exactly what you mean. The most annoying thing for me is when they rush me, but only if you get incredibly close. Otherwise I'll drop it at your feet and kill you. If you are not that close you are better off running to the side or backwards, staying behind the same cover will get you killed, even at mid range.
For cooking grenades it's more a feel thing. You generally want to either air burst them or bounce them off the ground and have them explode at their knees. |

their not that bad, i promise, its people like me that know how to make the airburst next to your head that you should hate. we dont have to rely on solid ofbects to bounce our nades off of, we just let you get an earful of them... or a mouthfull if im realy mean |

I love the suicide grenade most of all.
Just run into a group of reds and let the grenade detonate in your hand. I've gotten triple kills this way.
