Friendly fire can only take your shield down to half strength, or if your shield is below half strength, you friendly fire can only reduce you to half your armour.
Possibly if a team mate dies to enemy fire after you've dented them, you get a -25 WP 'Kill Desist'
It would make the explosive users have a downside (that currently only applies to themselves - as in they can blow themselves up, but not others on their team) |

Otherwise either pitch in some ideas on a downside to using explosive weapons or it's not that your against team damaging (my idea doesn't allow team killing, which you skipped), you're just up for MD's that have with no downside.

so some of the md users ive come across seems to be more accurate with there nades...now the m1 lovus and core locus
players r accurate with them as well... as they seem to use them as contact grenades all the time...
and i was talking about ars and hmg users.. |

I think that instead of these stopgate measures, of you can only reduce him to half shield, and then half armor, are kinda idiotic.

What Psygod9 said pluss the fact that orbitals don't always kill the targets(I sat on the "A" bridge during an enemy OB and didn't take any damage at all!) and you really don't want to damage a bunch of allies that are in front of a heavy or a tank.
