cost level 3 armor plating skill rather than level 5 to get to complex but cost level 3 repair module skill as well. This will allow it to benefit not only from the bonus "#%+ efficacy to armor plates" but also to the "#%+ efficacy to repair modules" |

Come on it's a good idea right, especially since the plate feature both armor repairs and hp increase. |

You're better off just putting on plates and an armor repairer, with 2 complex reactives you don't get much of an advantage over a complex ferroscale and a complex repper, in fact its just plain better because you don't have the speed reduction and you get more repairing, and if you're ok with the speed reduction you might as well use an enhanced armor plate, more health and costs less.
The way I see it, reactive plates only purpose is to give people a way to have armor repair WITHOUT putting points into the armor repair skill, as of right now though if you have points in armor plates and repair then reactive plates are utterly useless. Reactive plates are getting a buff in 1.4 but so are all other plates and the stats still don't compare, until I see some better numbers on the reactive plates I have to disagree, it's crappy equipment for those who specialize in armor, giving it a barrier of entry to all except those who specialize in armor just makes it more undesirable. |

Put some thought into it and I'm probably thinking of it from an armor tanking standpoint, I suppose reactive plates could be used if someone wants to have all of the other low powered slots for something else, if there's only 1 slot available then reactive plates might be a viable option because then you don't have to decide between adding a bit of armor or adding a bit of reps. But still making something like that require 2 skills wouldn't really be an option I would support unless they just had better stats, like if you were willing to invest 1.5 million or so into something that was the best option in armor tanking more power to ya. But yeah as of right now if there's 2 or more slots available, dedicated armor plates and armor repairer mods win every time. |

Alright, case closed then. I just would've liked if it got the bonus efficacy to repair modules. |
