Given the recent changes to the way CCP implements updates to Dust. And the abandonment/delay of most features that were announced at the last fanfest (Drones, Arena PVP, streaming matches to EVE, Racial Dropsuits/vehicles, PS Vita Ap) it feels like this game is just plodding along, with no real destination in mind.
At the moment this game basically consists of getting frustrated with aiming, yawning through yet another grind based event, and waiting for stuff that may or may not come "soon".
I would be nice to have something to look forward to that has a definite time frame in mind. |

I had a dream about the roadmap once.
It said Arena was coming in November.
Arena confirmed for November release! |

Every "roadmap" they've given since the inception of Dist 514 has proven to be complete and utter speculative garbage, so what good would yet another load of garbage be? Anyone with an ounce of sense would take one look at it and say "yeah right" and ignore it. |

Faith in a company is earned, and CCP haven't earned any as far as I'm concerned. I'm convinced that CCP simply doesn't have the know how to come even vaguely close to implementing their visions for this game. To prove otherwise they're going to have to stop focusing on talking the talk and instead start walking the walk. So far, all they have is talk, and more talk isn't going to change a damn thing. |

Fixes are nice. But hardly something to get excited about.
The main question I want answered is, where is this game going? Is there a feature (if any) to get excited about?
Or is it more of the same with minor tweaks.
And whilst input from the CPM is appreciated. I think it's something that CCP needs to address. |

The roadmap does call for major features to be injected just some of them take more than one month to implement and have been working for a while. The first of which I think you'll see the fruit of in 1.4. |

Yeah, they've really swung from one end of the pendulum to the other, haven't they?
First they promised so many "jesus features" that it's not really much of a surprise that they couldn't hardly implement any of them. Now they're basically just telling us that the game will continue to be more or less featureless for the forseeable future, and the "updates" will simply be minor tweaks and changes to basic gameplay mechanics. |

That looks more like a "How-to-fix-our-Uprising-release-mistakes"-roadmapGäó, now where is the real one?
At the moment is looks like this: DUST 514 Concept: 8/10 DUST 514 Execution: 1/10
Is the game going in the right direction? And how long will it take if it is? |

Yes you do but questioning value and demanding things are two separate things. I wouldn't give a roadmap, patch notes or time lines because if they aren't met then it is insta-fail. I totally understand their reluctance to release information, if I was harrased, taunted, brow beat and insulted 24/7 I wouldn't deliver anything extra either.
This community needs to put its big boy pants on, quit crying and learn to relax. It is a game and should be treated as such. |

Is CCP really reluctance to release info? Maybe the info that is worth it, nothing stopped them from a UPRISING trailer with drones in it, promises of DEVs,...with no results...not even a word of when it is expected besides a vague SOONGäó and RoadmapGäó. DUST is starting to look like false advertising.
And ooh Apples and pears are two seperate things too. The only one that is crying is the fanboi who got hurt because some people question CCPs plans or atleast that is what it looks like. |
