So dust started getting a little stale for me and I thought I would try a new game for a while. Eve seemed like a natural progression route, so I decided to give it a try. I am now hopelessly addicted to Eve and can now fully appreciate what ccp is trying to do. The moral of this story: Play eve and you will forget you ever played this work in progress called Dust 515 or was it Dust 314?.

I am the opposite, played EVE for like 7 years. Now I mostly just play dust. Though it does make the super long skills that I have left go by that much easier.

Now see if you can find how EvE originally started, then you will see why there is hope for Dust 514, just gamers as a rule are impatient

There's a good reason why player numbers have continuously increased in EVE year after year despite it being a pretty old game...while competitor games are slowly bleeding members.

Also, if you played EVE when it came out, you'd realise that it was "work in progress" too back in the old days. It's how CCP seems to work...they constantly improve on a game until they turn a raw diamond into a Tiffany's piece of jewelry

Yup same here, after a 8 years I got to a point where the game got too much for me and I burned out. Now I am just an veteren Eve player relaxing my days away with dust seeing if I can't be a pioneer for this young game.

On a side note what I really want to do with dust is annoy the crap out of eve players.

You maybe lucky and they may screw the mechanic up that in eve takes 90% tax and it could multiply your isk transfer 10 times.....

Yeah, I'm having fun in EVE. Got a year-old toon and fly Battleships and Battlecruisers mostly, but nothing beats a Cov-Ops for sneaking through those pesky gate-camps
