Probably not. I've gotten messages that actually did offend me and the worst I've seen is them getting a warning and being advised to block that player.

Sorry OP. It seems like no one can help you here. Not even CCP considering that the collection of tears is highly encouraged. In fact, the vast majority of us DUST players see it as a high honor to get hate mail like that because somewhere out there we made someone mad because our gun game (in my case, knife game) was better than theirs. You should be proud that you got hate mail especially after killing your target up close because you faced him like a man and won.

I'm just asking because I know harsh language can't be punished but it gets easier when hate against race or any minority comes in to play.

I want nothing more than to see this guy punished for the good of the community of course.

There is a difference between tolerating some idiots rant after being killed and listening to ppl spout hate over chat just because they can.

Last night I jumped into a game and the chat seemed to be straight from the plantation owners in Django Unchained - after about 15 secs I jumped out into another squad with two other guys from the south but they were as nice as can be and funny. We had a great set of games.

Now I couldnt be bothered to even look up those offensive guys but after that I thought about if other younger players or people who may have been offended had logged on - not pretty.

So true. Getting hate mail is one thing, but I've had a guy spam the hell out of me with a string of profanity, racially insensitive and homophobic slander that would make Orson Scott flinch. Some people take stuff too far.

Reported a guy for racism, nothing was done. You probably have to do some serious ****** up **** to get customer support to do anything about them. Trash talking and hate mail is child's play.

Hmm i got a solution for this problem.

First you need

1/2 Sugar
1 teaspoon toothpaste
a pinch of salt
100ml water
1 spoon of cement mix

Add all in a bowl or cup and make sure to stir while filling it up with water.

Now drink it and hopefully it will make you harden the f up, you sensitive guy.

Ha! I love that so many people posting here are inadvertently supporting the OP's point. Yes OP you can report them. I occasionally report people for abusive personal attacks. Nothing more fun than using the power of 'the law' as it were. No really though, hate speech of any kind has no justification or place our gaming culture. I don't know why it has been allowed to fester for as long as it has in gaming in general, not just here.
