Let them as they are.
Remove the ability to run over people. If a LAV hits you he will just push you away, depending on thespeed depending the distance.
WE ARE wearing high tech suits that should be able to resist impacts. And LAVs don't have LAser Bumpers or Spiked bumpers or razor tires or whatever ,so they are not FITTED to be road-killers.....

i would like to get a super fast hav...that goes faster than lavs...and is bigger than the tanks we have now..but only a small blaster turret and over 20k shields and 117 armor for protection....
does this sound op..i dont think it is..it only has a small blaster..
and it would be funny to watch drive around trying to run ppl over lol... |

the vehicles are made out of the same stuff your suits are or stronger, there bigger than you and going at a high velocity... so your reasoning makes no sense... moot point though cause the devs are changing the way impact works... and it isn't good imo because it does what you are suggesting to a degree...
ALL impacts should have the consequence of damage to all things impacted.
this means if an LAV hits a heavy the LAV should get some impact damage, but more than if it hits a scout.
it should all be relative. |

Too simplified.
I'm suggesting removing all low speed hit kills and barelt touching kills. That would remove the most annoying LAV back-and-forth kill grinding.
High speed dead-on hits would still be lethal.
BONUS tune-ups: - Add stun feature for infantry being pushed. - Damage LAV somewhat depending on mass of hit |

This. It makes no sense that an LAV driving at 2 miles per hour would be able to kill me just by bumping me at that speed. |

Mass and velocity are fantasy tools? I was under the impression that's basic physics. You know, one of those universal constants that tie everything that exists together? Pretty sure if physics went out the window, you'd see a lot of things out of balance.
I'm fine with LAV kill. I roadkill, and I get roadkilled. Besides, what happens if you end up in an LAV without a gunner? You're just supposed to jump out or die? Leave it alone, and look both ways before crossing the street. Problem solved. |

Nice post OP, but the Devs are fixing murder taxis in 1.4.
Turns out, murder taxis are a bug. They do deal damage, only they hit many times a second, to it seems instantaneous.
