Personally drop ships should give you time to bail out but if its HP reaches 0 it should explode.........90% of the time i don't shoot down drop ships because I won't get a kill.....I understand giving people a chance to bail.....but the chance should be shorter
On a side note before people flame me for wanting to nerf drop ships.....I am in favor of a buff to HP to be able to last longer |

I would prefer dropships to explode 'properly' on contact with the ground instead of kind of suddenly burning out.
It seems unnecessarily harsh to kill them instantly in mid-air - bailing from a dropship is the one chance the dropship people have. Even with a HP buff, there would be times when the dropship is suddenly hit by overwhelming damage and it's not really fair to a vehicle as vulnerable as a dropship to instantly kill everyone onboard.
That chance that dropship pilots have to bail is one of the best things they have, don't take that away. Nerfing dropships in any way at this stage, even accompanied by some form of HP buff, is too much. I don't agree. |

I think Shadow is trying to suggest that the passengers should try to bail before the enemy damages the dropship to 0 armor and blow it up. That means if the passengers escape while the dropship is still in critical condition, they'll survive. |

And I think that's a little too harsh when there are alpha weapons such as breach forge guns that can hit a dropship pretty much from anywhere. |

I'm not saying you shouldn't get a chance to bail but it should explode faster........I've seen dropships fall to the ground and sit there at 0hp for a few seconds burning before exploding....... it should explode mid air when the HP reaches 0......because the vehicle is dead once it reaches 0 hp ......if it should get a few seconds for the pilot to coast and drop in on his target then tanks should get those few seconds too and lavs.......you want special treatment in your dropship....granted its the squishiest vehicle but there are better ways to give dropship people a chance
A buff to HP would permit the pilot to maintain control longer........and if 3 breach forge gunners see you and all blast you within a second or two of each other you DESERVE to get blown up instantly..... you became a high priority target someone deserves a kill |

Yes but no kill on the scoreboard......I wouldn't even call this a nerf I'd call it more realistic mechanics....if I hit a helo IRL with 4 guided missiles the mofo blows up....it doesn't just fall to the ground gently.....its just bogus to see the drop ship fall for 6 seconds and roll on the ground for 2 before hurting anyone in the vehicle.......it should kill the pilot at least instantly..... |

I believe they should explode in the sky and take out anyone dumb enough to of stayed in. We bail out of tanks and LAVs when we believe it's taken all it can but they can stay in till the bitter end. It's unfair to anyone who's put points in swarms. |

you guys arnt putting in accuont dropships already have a major DISadvantage as shooting at their engiens nearly doubles the damage |

Dropships suck! But I love them abd they are completely weak enough I've been killed by someone calling in. Lave so yeah no more weakness please |

Military nerd here. IRL it's hard as hell to hit a flying target even with guided missiles, so anti-air missiles just explode the moment they get close enough to do some damage. There's usually enough helo left to crash-land without killing everyone aboard. (sorta like Black Hawk Down)
On the other hand it would be cool to see dropships get completely vaped if someone uses enough firepower - like a squad of protos shooting all at once. |
