Has there been any word on whether there's going to be new/expanded militia gear? I'm asking if there's militia variants for FG, HMG, Scrambler Rifle, Laser Rifle, Flaylock, MD, etc.
They can even have severely gimped clip sizes and ammo and such, but these really should have been done by now. It's still very difficult for the incoming player to try out the various options before they have to "buy" and commit sp into them. |

It would be nice. There've been some feedback threads suggesting this as well. From the in-game story description, you'd kinda expect it for weapons like the Scrambler as well. |

There is a Militia Forge Gun. Fit it on a Militia Heavy for cheap anti-vehicle/anti-infantry fun.
But, Yes, there should be Militia variants of everything. |

It would be important to note, that all of these things would be very fitting intensive as MLT gear is regularly >+10% more in fitting costs. |

It's also fine that militia gear typically has smaller clips. The idea behind providing militia gear for all types of weapons is that it allows new players to experience the weapon, how it handles, and how it performs.
I don't need a 60-round clip to experience how an AR performs. The 48-round militia variant gives me a good taste of it. And with that taste, I can then spec into ARs and get the "full" 60-round experience. But without the militia variant, I'm left wondering how it performs vs. a scrambler rifle. I mean, is it intended that the way I "experience" a scrambler rifle is to ask a corpmate if they've specced into it? Or worse, that I should create an alt to TEST OUT A WEAPON?? Come on.
* * I was aware of a militia forge gun. I guess what I'm talking about is skill-free militia variant weapons that allow a player to experience the weapon and its performance before committing sp into it. |

I am pretty sure the lack of militia variants on some items is due to balancing concerns. Since they are still releasing new stuff, thry don't want any potentially OP items to be further abused by having a "free" version. Also imagine the crap storm that would ensue if people bought BPOs of OP stuff that was then nerfed. I'm sure they are planning to release MLT versions of everything, they are just trying to be careful about it. |
