driving my car around humming, the A-team and splatting a few people i decide to put down my sandwich and offer covering support for my team, placing myslef in a strategic location and jumping into the gunner seat i start pummeling ppl with sharp objects, and we all know what happens next, (my dog eats my sandwich!!) my car starts driving off yes getting ur vehicle stolen by team mates is annoying, so i came up with this idea i hope u like it, my idea is tht we can put permissions on our vehicles, much like how the permissions work on your iventory when your mining on eve so for instance ,you can set permissions for squad members or for your team members meaning your pals can stil drive your car if you want them to, it doesnt stop the dog from eating my lunch but it does stop people from having a free rde at my exspense. |

Do what the MGS lore does.
If you aren't qualified to use the gear, you can't use it.
Don't have the skills to drive a HAV? Can't be in the driver seat of one. Don't have the skills to use a turret? Can't be in the turret seat.
It would cut down massively on vehicle stealing.

Coding for locks I would make as follows: 1. Only the owner can be in the driver's seat. 2. If the driver's seat is unoccupied, no one can get in. 3. If the owner leaves the driver's seat, everyone is booted out. 4. If anyone other than the owner tries to get back in, refer to 1 and 2. |

We still want to be able to hand over the driver's seat over to a trusted squadmate if the situation arises, let squadmates hop into/remain in the vehicle as I jump out to take care of something.
We need something like the OP suggested. I read this suggestion somewhere some time ago. Instead of an actual "lock" that you do on your vehicle in a game, you set up different kinds of locks in the options menu. You can make passenger seats "open," gunner seats "squad-only," and driver seat "corp-only," depending on your preferences. Being flexible like this is the best solution to making sure we have who we want in the seats we want. |

Permissions could be alright, but a squad/ player lock would be the simplest answer. What this means is that if your not in a squad, the vehicle is locked to you alone in the driver seat. This extends to squad, only green dots can drive, after all if your in a squad you'll more then likely be on comms.
You do not know how many times I've been in my LAB, with a blueberry, and head to a SD to restock. I park right next to the SD, jump out, switch suits and see the fu. Cking dumb azz drive away with my built up ride. I get sooooo pissed and end up losing the vehicle because of his stupidity. It's quite sad. |

fine by me.
Derp ships are fragile and take skill to fly.
I respect Pilots.
I respect Tankers.
I have no respect whatsoever for LAV drivers.
When a dude that goes 5-13 every single match, gets 25-0 because i gave him a free LAV?
LAV's should be removed. I prefer running 400mts as a heavy than getting run over by skill less players that then BRAG of how good they are in the forums with an LAV.

what if you get killed before it is dropped and the other team starts to hack it? wouldn't you want some one attempting to save it even if it mean just hopping in and bugging out ? there were a couple of battles where i attempted to save vehicles getting in and driving away with a lav or flying away with a drop ship i always try to find the person who called it in. |

its not like youve parked up your vehicle to pop into tesco your likely going to be in the midst of action with 1 of your team pals screaming at you to unlock the vehicle but your to busy fighting to get a chance, with permisions you would be able to have it set up so your team pals can enter without distracting you from your fighting. |

Thats a nice idea.... lol tht would be no fun at all, everybody hates getting splatted when there racking kils but this aint a western, in realtime war ppl get randown loosing the vehicles would be poo, and im sure there will be new weapons in the futre so you guys can get ur revenge on the dreaded drivers with some awsome equiptment, |

Recalling should be for the owner of the vehicle only, make it so tht if a team pal recalls somebodys vehicle it returns to rightful owner unless u hacked an enemis 1 then u get to keep it but apart from tht this lock option prevents your squad from hoping in the turret and saving your but and also prevents them from getting in a vehicle u just called in for them. |
