Hey there! If you haven't met me in game or care not to look a little to the left I'm Ralph-Waldo Pickle-Chips, and I have an idea for you folks to discuss on this shiny new topic! I occasionally check the Dust514 forums to laugh at some unintelligent posts and clever ones as well. But I'm not here to be my quirky self or clever.
Subject of matter: Redline! What can stop redliners?
Now knowing that there are thousands of posts, I do not officially acknowledge any ideas similar to mine. That being said, let me explain how to counter redliners.
Now the main idea is to not have a redline at all-EXCEPT when you lose all the Objectives. So say your team has 1 objective and your enemies have 3. You won't have the redline if you choose to spawn at the ground command or MCC. Now say you lose the objective, well now you have none. That being said, the redline will activate giving the losing team a fighting chance.
+PROS: Helps deter the act of "Redlining" that so many people QQ about.
-CONS: Only works for Skirmish-not domination-and could possibly cause spawn camping.
Now before you type "Wouldn't this cause uber spawn camping at the MCC and Ground spawns?" Well my idea is "Why would you spawn there if you have objectives you can spawn on and defend?" Also, if there are people trying to spawn camp, that means that there aren't people guarding/attacking objectives. Spawn camping in that sense would hurt your team more than benefit.

It's good and something I've advocated on previous threads. CCP Logic Loop recently told us that something is being done about the redline issues but it hasn't been actually stated yet, so I'll be waiting with my fingers crossed that it's something along these lines. |

I love this idea. Ever since the redline got so huge back in the day it's been total bullshit. Redlines need to go. |
