Think about it, newberries: they can chose more wisely what to spend their SP on since many new players tend to waste all their SP. average dusters: have probably made mistakes and I know that "you have to pay the consequence" or "your decisions matter" whatever. The fact is, most players aren't told this until they ask for a respec and they are told "use your SP wisely; there is no way to get it back" CCP: whatevs The only counter argument to this, is that FOTM chasers will abuse this. Yes but it will be to their own doom. When they spec into whatever is OP the FOTM will get nerfed (as always) and they will be sad little FOTM chasers because they have to wait another 3 months before they can get a different suit they they actually like. Also eventually FOTM chasers settle down and get invested into a style of play that they like. (some not all) Discuss...

Yet the only people I ever hear asking for respecs are people complaining that their proto gear got nerfed. New players didn't get the first two respecs and thus weren't able to dump SP into the FTOM all at once so they had to make better decisions to begin with.

If it's truly for the new players, why not advocate for a one-time respec at 2m-ish SP (which, also, has been suggested countless times)?
