Why?
- I'm a 300HP Proto Gallente Shotgun Scout. I've flanked your line, and I'm right behind you.
- If you are carrying an AR or ScR, which most of you do, I have a 0.5 second lifespan if/when you turn around.
- If you are carrying an MD, which is rather common, you'll dominate my shotgun at point blank range.
- If you are a Heavy, a simple fart in my direction will drop my 150k proto suit.
- I have a shotgun, but it isn't strong enough to kill you in one shot, and you'll likely dodge 50% of my following shots.
- I have a SMG, but if I open up with it, you'll have plenty of time to turn around give away my position.
- I've tried Nova Knives, but they're as inconsistent as my beloved shotgun.
So ...
You get a Core Locus Nade. Because its all I've got that works consistently. And if you're still standing after I've cooked it perfect and placed it at your feet, I'll do what I can to finish you off before I light up like a Christmas Tree on TacNet.

I started using them recently and they are fun as ****. I can see why people are reluctant to give them up for fluxes to deal with shields. |

Yep. You can drop any Scout at any speed in two shots. Even if I'm standing on your toes blasting you with my shotgun.
That's why I love my nades. Its one of very few options I have to balance the playing field. |

Agreed. AR-514 screams and cries anytime anything defies their CCP-given "right" to dominate in every instance at every range in every battle. This sense of entitlement should come as expected, given CCP's track record since Uprising 1.0.
But I remain optimistic with regard to 1.4; it seems the Devs might get it right this time around.
Anyhow, I'll gladly trade my nades for something else that works once Scouts and Shotguns are fixed. Until then, deal with nades as "adaptation" to broken weaponry and kindly cease your moaning. Or not. It's entertaining either way.
