1) grappling hook. Exactly what it sounds like. Should be able to be used for climbing and repealing.( could make for stealthy drops instead of the dampners)
2).portable shields. Used for mobile cover and point defence. Can come in a shield and armor version( the guys I play with are good at point defence and noticed the lack of good cover.
3) portable supply depot. More of the wall would only let you change suits. Mabey 2 changes for basic 4 for advance 6 for proto. Could have high CPU AMD pg requirements.
4) support becon. Something like a defend or rally order but team wide. Could also be used as targeting system for oms orbitals or artillery.( can't count the time a little support from the other squads changed the tide of battle.
5) something to hack enemy equipment. Could be implemented like the active scanner.
6) disruptors used to disable enemy vehicles. Could be used to stop movement or just turrent fire. Would also promote hav team play. Haveing squads escort havs as they do in real life.
7)Tactical cloak. Useable by light suits only. This would give the scouts the infiltration power there supposed to have. You wouldnt be able to shoots while cloaked but can tag targets. Radar detection would go up due to excessive energy used so speed is still esentiall for the scouts survival. Feedback/ideas appreciated.
- Interesting idea, I'm not sure of the tech side required in creating this but I'm not opposed to the concept. Some form of limitation on range of the grapple and surfaces it could attach to, but these limitations could also provide opportunities for diverse iterations within the line.
- Shield bubbles are confirmed as coming, ETA SoonTM (you might also want to check out the thread on "dragons teeth" to see if it suits your idea for an armor variant)
- At some point we are supposed to be able to buy and deploy installations, again ETA SoonTM. I believe this element would be covered by being able to drop in a supply depot.
- Sounds like a good possibility for the Crusader dropsuits, good thought
- I've been suggesting this for awhile as well, most recently in my equipment thread. The short version is to add this feature to the codebreaker but require a codebreaker or equal or higher level to hack the equipment, thus only the prototype codebreaker would have access to hacking all levels of equipment.
- Sounds like two types of eWar modules to me. To impede movement will be the function of the stasis webifier, again ETA SoonTM, and the other could cause a more rapid accumulation of overheat. Both sound like they could have worthwhile utility.
- Is this intended as a type of cloak within the already announced cloaking line? The current cloak would hide on screen visuals but not prevent detection via TACNET and drops if the user gets hit, runs into a hostile, or engages in a 'hostile action' such as hacking etc, the user also cannot fire while cloaked. It is surmised that this equipment will be availible to all but with a high fittings cost and would carry a substantial discount for use by scouts. I am a big fan of diversity as it prolongs the lifespan of the game by increasing re-playability, so my question for you is this; how will your CovOps cloak provide a unique/specialized role when compared with the cloak that is already in the pipeline?
Good thoughts on adding content to the game, keep 'em coming.
