Looking at tactics in play. And okay, so your side isn't teamed up and the other is - but ignoring that for now...
I'm looking at play and even when I chase after another player (and usually lag behind because I run out of stamina at a certain point), that dude usually contacts a group of enemies and is mowed down before I can make the last couple of steps and make visual on the enemy. Or I make it, but they die very shortly after, making it only a brief team combo (then I die, because the other team gets their crap into gear and turns on the intrusion)
My question is is it actually better to form a bulwark rather than try and dash in? Certainly in ambush a droplink put a certain distance away can ensure an actual group forms.
Of course if there is no team how do you do that? I guess getting the hell out of dodge and putting a droplink in a quiet spot is one way. Perhaps call in a tank and wait on that spot as well, to help hold an actual line.
Basically 'one side actually teams and keeps their crap together instead of scattering' aught not be an auto win technique. |

If you solo rush, you'll die.
If your squad starts dying around you and you fail to fall back, you'll die.
If you fail to have someone watch your flank, you'll die. |

lav/active scanner, choose your light wep, hit and run, kill someone then get in lav and drive off, rinse/repeat
not exactly rambo as one would expect but it works for solo |

It's not team work, it's bums-on-seats. I'm not going to count it as a huge act of player team work skill to stand around near each other and everyone kinda actually turns and fires at stuff that others are firing at. Programming a VCR is harder than that - and that's a bums on seat activity too. (I'd more consider some bastard in a lav playing distraction while another dude comes up from behind as an example of team work).

not exactly rambo as one would expect but it works for solo I'm good with the idea of hit and run. I just want to play - not insta die - but I can pass on rambo-ing. Thanks for the tips. Speak of, what can you do to make the lav more survivable - have to skill into it or buy a blueprint one (ie, not worry about investment per match - ie, 'buy a mount' ala other micro transaction games)? I'm a cheap bastard - I think basic lavs go for 27k or so (and my most often used suits go for 5k or so). Got any tips for a cheap bastard? |

Every good storming needs a Leroy Jenkins or 2. (At least you'll know what weapons the reds have from the kill feed) |

Teamwork = Having your roles defined out in a squad/team, with players watching each other's backs against flankers, against heavies, warning each other of snipers, recon and providing intel to each other, supporting via equipment, covering strategic chokepoints while teammates are busy hacking/killing etc. |

Then you're not talking about what I'm talking about. I'm talking about people who just stay in a mob and turn towards gun fire and maybe look around a bit.
