When it comes to the Null Cannon, many players have given up on hacking entirely for various reasons. Some hate the 'stuttering' of getting caught inside the shields, some are tired of objective spawning, some are tired of the shields not being able to properly defend hackers, some are rightly peeved over hit detection making you shoot the Cannon instead of the hacker... at point blank... and still more are tired of being blown to pieces by a remote explosive that clipped into the model.
I propose not a fix on the current model, but an entirely new model to replace this defective equipment. A Null Cannon Access Console needs three features: Walls to prevent snipers and vehicles from holding a point from safe distances. A hacking point to swap NC loyalty. Be sufficiently walled in to prevent new spawns from killing a hacker from mercyinvis. Also, a nice but not mandatory feature would be making the room sufficiently roomy, allowing for a decent area without getting stuck/stuttering, and preventing a single explosive from clearing the entire room.
First, a standard bunker. room is enclosed, has two doors and a console mounted on the corner wall between the doors. This prevents snipers and vehicles, as well as fresh spawns from easily holding a point with no personal risk. This also allows for disarming Remote Explosives if the hacker stands in the far corner and fires, and provides obvious defensive choke-points at the doors as opposed to areas which may not keep out freshly spawned troops.
Secondly, more hack points that are integrated into the environment. The hack points on Communications, and the CD hacks on Line Harvest are excellent examples of this. They are placed within existing structures on the map on Communications, and the Line Harvest ones have crates placed around them defensively, as if the defenders were preparing with what they had. These are both serviceable as defensive points, hidden from snipers and vehicles, and immersive as they seem altogether more planned out then "and we'll just plop the Null Cannon A console over here in the middle of a basin instead of in the building right next to it."

Support, but your issues aren't that big.
The biggest issue is the hack progress (while you're still on the console, not the virus upload) resetting for no reason. |

I'll add that to the OP.
Also, although these issues may not be the biggest they are exceedingly common, and centered around the focus of all but the most basic playmode. |
