Greetings!
I've created this thread to ponder a small question:
Will planets at some point feature hostile environment effects? Not just a simple lack of oxygen, (which I assume is the case on all of the planets thus far) we're all wearing suits for this. But events such as:
1) Earthquakes resulting from orbital bombardments or tank sieges. 2) Volcanic eruptions. 3) Tornadoes. 4) Asteroid / Meteor impacts. 5) Hostile vegetation / wildlife. 6) Hostile humanoids.
The planets that we've been fighting on are surprisingly stable....and quiet. |

Well lave planets will be coming eventually, maybe not active volcanoes but nonetheless I'm sure jumping in lava will kill you. |

+1 All those ideas would be a good addition to the matches as long as it's not every map. For pubs I think it should be a random occurrence.
For FW and beyond, different planets could have higher occurrences of effects according to the environment or whatever and stuff :p
Just my opinion though. |

Just my opinion though. Even if they weren't implemented in actual battles, if CCP could make them dynamic events that affect planetary holdings as a result of out actions, battles, developments, and mining operations then that would be absolutely fanatastic |

So, explosive pistols, beefed up humvees, auto blaster and railgun turets aren't enough gay ways to die? You want a battlefield where you can run and fall into quicksand so some scrub can easily kill you? |

I believe the devs mentioned weather effects on dropsuit in their Advancing the Core video. Things like glacial planets causing reduced heat buildup or stamina/running speed and lava planets being hazard zones. But we probably wont see this until next year. |

Well we do already have snow maps so we might see it in like 1.7 or something towards the end of the year. |
