I saw this happen once but wasn't sure if it was real or not.
Basically a gal logi went to an objective and dropped as many nanohives as was physically possible and then proceeded to hack the objective.
Me and a teammate then tried to kill him but our shots weren't connecting. Eventually we got him but had to get in his face in order for our bullets to hit.
I figured this was either because of a basic hit detection issue, in which case a normal occurrence, or all of the little blue pulsating modules were acting as shielding... somehow.
Anyone else see this and or use it? |

Proto rapping nano hive can give you crazy repos in numbers almost making you invincible to a single person firing at them. Proto hives are a big SP investment though and costly enough I wouldn't want to lose a suit that was loaded out with multiple high tier hives |

Good luck, its just something I thought I saw once.
I mean he dropped a ton of hives, at first I thought they were uplinks (cause I'm an idiot and forgot you can't put down more than 2 or something) and was prepared to fight off a ton of in-spawning enemies. Then I saw they were hives and was like 'WTH!?'.
Anyway I figured since my bullets weren't connecting that might be it, anyone wanna test this and let me know what you find? |

Ya I have, tried to lay suppressive sniper fire on a point and could not. The glare was to much to see and was countered sniper and so I left the area. It is very hard to see anyone when there is a million glowing orbs around an objective. So I wait until my sight turns red and I fire, it works but not as well as I would like. |

I'm not sure they were compact hives (the armor repping ones) but I could be wrong, they might have been. |

If you see a logi standing in the middle of a bunch of hives chances are they're the armor repping hives; I keep forgetting that though. I ran across a Gallente logi on a dom Manus Peak match. The guy was standing in the middle of 5-8 hives on top of a hill overlooking A; he literally was the king of that hill for like 5 minutes. Every time I'd come up behind him and start unloading on him and was barely putting a dent in his armor. Finally I got the bright idea of cooking off a grenade and when it hit it took half his armor away and blew up most of his hives. After that my bullets actually started to rip him up and it felt pretty good after getting killed by him 5 times. |

This was probably me in both instances ... Proto Gallente Login and proto repper hives. +220 armor per a cycle when I stand in my "nest" . I can usually just laugh at snipers as long as I wiggle around a bit... I am an armor tank(dropsuit, not vehicle) , so I move slow... I throw out hives, set up shop and get work done. |

The null cannons seem to exist in their own pocket universe, bullet don't seem to travel into or through them often as they should and if you stand in one during a precision strike you'll be safe. |

this ^^^^
If that's true I'm going to laugh my face off every time someone drops an OB to get me off their objective.
