I would like to leave some feedback on the in-game marketplace as I keep expecting CCP to finally give us some more interesting things to buy with aurum...but it has never happened.
Let me first explain what we already have:
Aurum Items -Weapons and equipment that have a lower skill requirment (or no skill requirement) to use, and are sometimes colored differently. -Blueprints of Militia or Standard equipment that never run out.
Bundles -A large pack of items that lets a player try out certain playstyles or items at a reduced* price *Most packs are only slightly reduced, not much savings
Featured Fits -Aurum suits that come pre-fitted with modules for a specific playstyle to let a player try out a role or suit without having to figure out a good way of fitting that suit.
Augmentations -Boosters that increase the amount of sp gained during battle. ____________________
What I like:
Aurum items are a great way to try out new things without having to risk sp. They are especially handy for trying out prototype gear before you skill into it as this saves a ton of sp and time. I personally have bought blueprints for the 'Syndicate' SMG and the 'Sever' Logistics M-I because these looked cool and were great for saving isk
Bundles are a great concept.
Featured fits are also a great concept.
Augmentations are the best thing to buy with Aur hands down. I love the sales that go on, especially when the Omega Boosters came out. ____________________
What I don't like:
There isn't an Aurum item for everything. The new Commando dropsuit still doesn't have an aurum version of it for me to try out, and the "basic" suits don't either. Vehicle modules are lacking too, since I've always wanted to try out the Nitrous for my LAV, but can't unless I put sp into vehicles.
Blueprints are random in terms of what suits have one and what don't. Currently, there is a scout, logistics, and assault standard blueprint dropsuit for sale. The only heavy blueprint is the militia one. Also, The only weapon that has standard blueprints for sale is the SMG. Sure, a lot of packs you can buy contain blueprints for other weapons, but there should at least be a blueprint standard scrambler pistol.
Large bundles are pointless. It doesn't take 100 dropsuits or weapons to figure out that that item isn't for you. Smaller bundles to try out multiple things at once would be better.
There aren't enough featured fits, and there's too many scout ones. There should also be some logi ones with the different logi playstyles. For instance one could be a demolitions guy and another a hacker, while others are based more on healing. These would be good for letting new players understand the diversity in fittings and such.
You guys are teasing me with the 60 and 90 day Omega Passive Boosters that supposedly "exist". The whole reason I didn't buy a billion Omega boosters is because I thought you might release these sometime soon...but apparently not. ____________________
I hope this helps, and if there's anything else you would like feedback on (such as what kinds of bundles or featured fits I'd rather see), I'd be happy to expand further.
Also, keep don't limit sales in the market to just some items. It would be lovely to see a price reduction for certain items or suits that don't get used enough. I would love a "blowout sale" for the items on the market that are used the least (such as active scanners or plasma cannons). |

I bought the elite pack and at the time I thought it was worth it. Now idk

Why did you quote the WHOLE thread just to say that?
Also, you can't buy a standard heavy bpo with Aurum on the market. That was my point in that section, not that you can't buy something with a standard heavy bpo. |
