Hey guys I was just wondering which race has the biggest influence on the equipment in the game.
Example:
Remote Explosives are Minmatar, Active scanners are Gallente Based and Uplinks are Amarrian based technology (I think).
What about the other equipment?

Drop Uplinks are Amarrian by design.
Nanohives Gallentean.
Scanners I believe are Caldari but Im not sure, the tech just looks too Caldari to be anything else. |

Anything dealing with Scanners can be safe to say is gallente based (also all the companies that make the active scanners are all Gallente corporations) |

Yeah you're right on this but there are some odd pairings.
Like the nanites are obviously gallente (I think)
yet not a single gallente company makes either ADV nanite or PRO nanite .
The advanced one is KIN (Minmatar) and the Prototype is Wikymoriogrbgfe#%^rkj(some Caldari company) |

Uplink=Amarr

In EVE minmatar are the jack of all trades and masters of none.
You could fit some things that are minmatar to be armor based in EVE...and I guess you could in DUST as well but armor is so bad right now you'd be an idiot to be a armor based minmatar suit when you could be shield based. |

I hadn't noticed the different origins for the nanites. As far as lore goes the Amarr certainly had nanite injectors prior to the propagation of the clone soldier implants, though I can't remember if they were invented for empyreans or if it was existing battlefield tech.
Also, damage types can help a bit (laser = Amarr, explosive = Minmatar, etc). |
