My friend and I were recently talking about the rooms we're in and we were discussing how the room doesn't actually have any miscellaneous features that we can use to interact with people instead of just the waiting lobby before a match. I'll just basically list the stuff and explain each one as I go:
1. Beyond the room- People might have already suggested expanding the room and here's our idea; we thought you could hold the Square button (on Duty Calls config) to open the door right in front of the Battle Finder which opens up into a hallway of more doors (i.e. other peoples rooms) where people can hang out and if you're in a squad, your squad will also be there. My friend also said that there should be a bathroom at the end of the hall. Maybe only your squad can enter your room (or one of theirs) whereas someone you don't know would just hit an invisible wall if they try to enter.
2. Interior Decorating- Stemming from having the door open up and your squad members entering your room, could we possibly change the setting of the room to accommodate this? What I mean is, moving the Battle Finder into a wall and pulling the couch and coffee table backwards and maybe adding two more couches to accommodate the 6 people you can have in your squad rather than 2 seats as well as having the ability to sit on said couches because I really would like to sit down when I talk to my friends.
3. Smart bed- We also noticed that there is a bed next to Dropsuit Fitting and perhaps we could use that for logging in and out with a specific character. Like I want to use my Vox account, I log in and my character is getting out of bed. I want to log out, I walk over to the bed, hold Square and my character gets into bed and we return to the Character Select screen.
4. As well as the one door we can exit from, we could have the other door open up into a sort of War Room for your squad/corp where you can come up with strats, look at Supply Depot placements, Turret placements and so on. We were also hoping (mostly i was hoping) we could simulate our own battle with unlimited clone reserves to practice on certain maps with AI units and such, to practice your gameplay too.
That's really all the ideas we have. They don't seem too far-fetched but being a F2P, Dust may be limited in its functions. We were just wanting a more realistic experience when we step into our room. So, hopefully, at least one of these changes will be implemented, otherwise we can just stick with what we already have. |
