I have been playing a lot now and have been seeing something quite unusual. Salvage is being paid out in alphabetical order. Now some of you may ask how I know this and there is a simple answer.

My name is XxGhazbaranxX and I rarely get any salvage. When I do get salvage it's of low quality. Now I play with a guy named A*** (name omitted). He gets salvage every other match to which I rage at him and complain like a sad little boy. I get higher WP and more kills but no matter what he gets salvage and I don't. On the other hand, as wierd as this might seem I have a friend that has a name with Z**** and he gets same if not more kills and warpoints than me but gets less salvage.

Now the most interesting thing that happens is when I do get salvage. This salvage is constantly worse than his. If I get an advanced SMG he gets a proto one. If I get a proto Item, he gets an officer.

I regularly do 1300 wp and higher in matches and get no salvage.

I have a question. Is salvage alphabetical Like I suspect?

I want a dev to respond please.

Maybe every 3 to 5 matches? I can play 10 matches and not get any. My longest dry spell has been 2 days if I'm not mistaken in which I think I played over 50 matches minimum. Once every 10/15 matches or so I'll get a proto item or maybe a drop of 3 copies of 1 ADV item. I have only gotten a drop of officer gear once in Uprising. 3 of my beloved Krin ARs.

Although recently I got two shotguns from two different matches, other than that, nothing.

One, it seems like the better I get, the less I get. Also, the salvage I do get is typically about as far away from what I use as you can get. For example, the 3 weapons I use the most are swarms, ar and smg. When I do get salvage, it tends to be hmg, forge and scrambler pistols.

At the time I made the thread, I had not received salvage in 3-4 days lol. During my testing I did really ****** at one point on purpose using a cheap suit, 2nd match of it I got officer submachine gun lol ( that had me wonder for a second if it was to compensate losing badly , but after more needless deaths that turned out not to be the case. Just accept the fact like I did.. salvage gods just don't like us, and do not set our coordinates on the random spinna majigger.. when it does happen, it was accidental

Like the more crap you own the less you will get, but I've neither tested it and can't remember where I read it.

Haven't bothered looking at it either cause none of it is ever stuff I use...

I get 2500wp SOLO every match! I get tons of salvage! CCP NERFED salvage items(harder to get). Killing people does not earn you good salvage. Supporting your team and winning gets you salvage! Last build, I had 600 dropships from salvage. Now cant get even one!

Nice way to add to my Thale's collection. In a normal match I'm in the top 5 and see nothing. If you want salvage you better starting AFKing.

I know a player with a name that starts with A; he almost always gets salvage while I hardly ever get salvage and I mean it's not uncommon for me to go 5-10 matches without getting a thing before getting something I'll never use. He has 90+ Balac's and Krin's each; whereas the most I've had was 10 Balac's (I've only lost 2, I'm at 8 now) & 7 Krin's (only lost 1, at 6 now). We've both been playing since open beta started but I play more often and I tend to get more WP's than he does.

It's an interesting premise but really difficult to test. I don't even pay attention to salvage anymore, because I have so much of it, and most of what I get is not related to what I use but it would be great to have an in depth explanation of the algorithm used to generate it, and most importantly how the rewards are attributed to the combatants.
