Some people use scouts and heavies because it fits their style, some roleplay, others are probably misinformed but then there's a contingent of armor tankers that claim they can perform well in the fit. Either way, you don't think that guy in the minja scout wielding the flaylock from the last release wasn't calling you a noob?

Back in beta, when all we had were Caldari medium, Minmatar logistics, Amarr heavy, and Gallente light, Caldari mediums were the noob dropsuit, at least in my eyes. Once light frames are buffed, I'll consider assaults and basic medium frames to be noob suits again.

Medic 1879 Forsaken Immortals Top Men. 858	Posted - 2013.08.12 04:10:00 - [9] - Quote I use the basic medium for my AV fitting as I like having a sidearm on that fit and since I spec'd gal logi I didn't really fancy spending a few mil SP on the gal assault for an amazing shield regen bonus on an armour suit. The PG/CPU reduction would be nice I suppose but I seem to have no problems with that at the moment and it costs too much IMO.

I kind of wish I could specc out of Medium Suits though Yeah I accidently specced into proto... and I don't even use it. but they said they were giving them a minor bonus so meh.
