So as I was playing skirmish today 3x my logi lav had been stolen from me by blueberrys. Reason it got stolen each time....assisting my team by remoting objectives, laying down proxy mines, and swarming tanks. Go figure, your penalized for helping your teams success. Which leads me to the reason why people who can drive logistic LAV's, don't use them for their intended purpose, just sit in them, and just death taxi. At least by doing that if you lose a 300k vehicle its your own doing, not some troll on your team.
I'm sure anyone whos spec'd into vehicles can agree that you never want to get out of that drivers seat especially if theirs a random in there. Get out to call a orbital with a blue in your vehicle? Good luck seeing your vehicle after you drop it. 3x in two hours of playing, and if I were to add up all the times some person stole my lav while I was helping the team, it would be in the 100's. If we wanted blueberrys in our vehicles we'd put in a CRU.
Simple enough lower the death taxi use - vehicles are locked to blues, or eject, or honestly a self destruct, I'd rather blow up the troll who knowingly stole my LAV, than try to get my car back, and they cant complain about team killing because if its not yours you shouldn't be in it. I'm one of the few who use LAV's for get in and get out warfare, support, pick ups, remoting objectives, enemy tank control, not just drive around death taxi just killing people.
It's sad when you play a game where you cant even trust your own team mates. |

I think there should be a driver lock based on your proximity to the LAV. If you stay within 20m or so, no one can drive it but you. There should also be an eject all button or allow you to recall your vehicle with teammates still in it. Vehicle disappears and the passengers get ejected. |

I gotta agree. I always get my vehicle stolen when trying to help the team. When I call in a vehicle, I don't like to stand out in the open where I'm an easy target. This means either someone will steal my vehicle or I can run to where its going to drop and hope the RDV pilot doesn't make a quick swing and drop it on my face.
Sometimes if someone hops in my vehicle I'll say screw it and at least try to man the gun; however, it never fails that I get the special breed or person that can manage to die by running into a tank or wall or anything that's easily avoidable. Utterly frustrating.
I don't know if this issue is on CCPs radar but I sincerely hope it is. People are already annoyed with how durable their vehicles are, or not rather, but getting them stolen as well just takes the cake. |

An eject button would be nice, especially when half the enemy team spawns in as AV, and there's clearly nothing you can do but recall your vehicle. I can see it being abused by trolls though. "Oh, my Logi drop ship suddenly spawned a bunch of people. Let's go find the biggest mass of enemies and drop them all on their heads." |

how would you feel having half the red dot army dropped on your head when you an your team are completely clueless? |

Except there are people willing to help... I mean, there was a time I called in a tank only to be run over by a random murder taxi. Some guy killed the LAV, got in my tank, then saw me coming, and hopped out of the driver's seat. I was just hoping to be a gunner!
Those instances are few and far between though.

Vehicles will be locked to owner in 1.5.
You can then unlock it to your team or squad if you choose to. |

Tank costs 1 to 3 mil. Will get 10-30 kills with great risk to my well being and my wallet.
Llav costs 200k. Will get 10-30 kills with zero risk to my well being and a small dent in my pocket should the game glitch and lose me a vehicle.
Winning is more likely in my tank but winning doesn't provide enough benefit to be worth losing millions of isk. |

yea CCP thinks the whole vehicle jacking thing is humorous and should stay in game for the humor factor but they're the only ones laughing in their lan parties where they give themselves unlimited isk to buy whatever they want, yea i went overboard there. |

Another reason.
All my vehicles cost over 300k, EXCEPT my LLAV which costs closer to 200k now.
All my vehicles die a lot in comparison to my LLAV. When I want to make money, I don't use a Militia suit so I can watch my KDR drop like a brick, like the protoscrubs I try to keep a decent KDR, how am I meant to do this without having skills in Infantry **** with a Militia suit? Solution? Murder Taxi.

Take the beating like a man. I run around in blueprint C-1s and ARs, and I still pull most games above average. The only reason my KDR is ultrashit is because of the horrible spawn issues that have me chaining together fifteen deaths before I manage to get my broken clone out of a killbox... Typically only to be run over by a murdertaxi. |

Uhm, if I'm not mistaken the intended purpose of LLAV's is for you to sit in them and rep stuff with them. So people stealing your vehicle isn't a valid reason for not using it as intended. |

Happens to dropships and tanks also :P
Story goes like:
I was flying with my dropship and deploying uplinks in stratetic points when I saw a blueberrie shooting me to pick him up and so I did.
Next time I landed to deploy another uplink he steals my dropship and crashes it...... please let me lock my driver seat! |

A good point OP. This is the latest in a large number of threads asking for some form of vehicle lock. There are a lot of good, workable ideas out there.
The community has done it's job, now the question is whether CCP is prepared to act on it. |

500k sica with adv rail. two shots other militia tanks from the red line.... havent lost it yet, even with other rails trying to snipe me.
Changed out to my maddy/blaster got blownded up (my own foolish mistake, but squad took out the gunnlogi shortly after so was worth it :D ) |
