There's no rule saying you must cap out every week or you will die.

I'm replaying my MGS's until it gets good, with matchmaking and aiming.

Actually, there is. It's called being proto-stomped. If you don't cap out or get good progress per week, you fall further and further behind as the other players get into stronger gear, stronger skills, etc etc.

But on the plus side, we have free fits. We have cheap, no-skill-investment-required weapons. I spend my points into sniping, but I can shotgun* or forge gun or even drive when needed.

There is a cap on this effect.
After a certain point, you become as effective as you ever will be in a specific role, and then it's generalisation for other things.

Harpyja take a break man go play another game for a few days if you don't cap out for a week or two it's not the end of the world. What is happening to you right now is burnout on dust if you force it it won't be fun and you'll brin unhappiness to those you play with As well. So go take a few days off dust when u come back you'll be able to spend some accumulated skill points and hopefully have some fun again. If your not haveing fun why continue playing its called "playing" for a reason mate.

I got 14000 SP left to go so I'll just take those and hop onto my alt. I am having a lot of fun running on the ground with Amarr logi. There's nothing that I find to be imbalanced for infantry while I am plagued with imbalance running Gunnlogis.
