Title says it all : how old is the standard merc, are they 20,50,100?
I guess a Better question would be: how long has it been since the tech we use to make clones was found and used to make immortals. |

The current generation of clone tech hasn't been around very long. The first generation had some awful, awful problems. |

Basically, they choose the best they can offer to make into immortal soldiers. So they are most likely in their prime.
The type of clones we are have not been around too long. |

This generation of clones we inhabit was engineered as a response to the failures of the original clones in Templar One.
So the age of clones dates from somewhere in the range of the late alpha to the first days of the closed beta, with the latest conceivable date being the move to the Tranquility server in January.
My guess is that this clone model is about 2 years old.
What really bothers me though is who the hell controls our clone technology and infrastructure? Because we need to find out where this is done from, head there, and take control of the entire process. By any means necessary. |

On a similar but different note, what is the average age of the consciousness (i.e. the actual people) who inhabit the clones? |

My lore isn't strong enough to know what life extension technologies were available(but honestly, i'd assume f'k all was accessible to active or retired soldiers in New Eden), or if there was a practical limit to what age a soldier could be cloned at.
All I can tell you is that this clone had been scalping defeated Ammarian dogs for 30 years before he got the notification that it didn't have to stop anytime soon ;) |

Your age is whatever you want it to be, some characters in new eden are over a century old. But i would assume that most mercs were between 30-50 years old before they were given the cloning tech. |
