The MD is an Area Suppression weapon / Mini AV weapon... and does the job very well, exactly how it should. But it sucks in close quarters, and the splash damage is most likely to kill you than the other guy. The only problem i can see is that 6 grenades per magazine is to much.. it should have no more than 4.
The AR is an all situations weapon, but doesn't rule a specif area... A shotgun will always beat an AR in Close quarters, HMG will always beat the AR at close to mid range, Forge Gun / Sniper Rifle / MD always beats the AR in mid to long range.. The AR is a "situational" weapon ; Right place + right time = You win, every other time you lose.
No balance is needed for any of this two weapon... and how i know that, you my ask ?
Because i using both of them with the Commando suit.. and i can see very clearly their weakness and strength. Some times i get a MD kill followed up immediately by an AR kill.. both as quick.. and effective. |

I know.... but is because it is circumstantial ..that extra 2 nades helps you to finish kills, which can be unfair some times... but for area suppression 6 nades are about right...is just a "problem".. not a huge one, or something that unbalance the MD to much. |

If you say so. Still not convinced that the AR is "exactly the same" as a noobtube. Unless im getting splash damage with my rounds and only need to shoot at the feet to be effective. |

I find the AR more effective at close range..the splash damage of the MD is "dangerous". That is why i always switch to the AR with my Commando suit in close quarters. |

You say that... but i lost the count of how many times i had to switch to the AR to finish a kill... believe or not the MD trajectory is very easy to predict .. by "good players" that is. |
