I prefer the SMG, as I find the flux and flaylock unreliable on a rooftop. When you are forced down, it tends to fare better against groups as well. If they bunch up you can use the forge splash to drop shields on Gallente, otherwise flux and SMG.
If you have the aim, and can consistently get direct hits, flux and flaylock is still very effective. |

SMG.
Your forge gun should be able to take people out at medium-long ranges. It's when people get up in your face that creates a problem. That's when you whip out your SMG and spray them down. |

smg is what i have been using,,,,, i just wanted to get some advice before i started upgrading it,,,,,,finally made it to the sentinel drop suit and trying to boost its skill,,,,,,currently have the kz forge |

i love that pause when an enemy runs up on you knowing that you just fired your fg only to find you have switched to your smg.......its kinda of like they have a OS look |

Sentinel dropsuit....that things needs reworked IMO or different weapons that take advantage of the bonuses. |

Flaylock.
I don't know if it is practically better, but it is more likely to **** people off. Which is the whole fun of using an FG in the first place. |
